Saltish - Ashton — Restaurant in Tameside

Ordered from here for years since they opened and they have always been good. However, the have gone down hill. They sent a spicy burger out instead of a plain one, which my 6 year old couldn't even eat. The other burger was covered in so much mayo that it fell apart and wasn't even edible. I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. Phoned the takeaway to rectify, the manager was so rude and argumentative, offered to change one burger but no the other, and STILL argued that he 'made the burger himself'. As if we have time to complain and wait for another two burgers to be sent out. My husband and son haven't touched the food and mine has gone stone cold after twenty minutes of arguing. I used to really enjoy the food from here and the service was fairly decent. After living out of town for almost a year, when I came back the expectations of Saltish were really unpleasant. Food was served rather cold, portion size was appalling (smaller than a kids meal for the price we paid) and customer service was terrible. We complained about the service and all they could offer was a free portion of chips. Sorry, but that is not good enough. First, they deliver a bad service then instead of professionally apologising and speaking with respect, they expected us to go all the way back for just chips? I ordered this week and I'm afraid to say that I'm UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED. Seems like food quality has dipped immensely. Firstly it seems like anything that is spicy is just drenched in buffalo sauce like the overcooked zinger burger I ordered. They also gave me the wrong sauce with the order AND the wrong milkshake! (Ordered a snickers and got kinder Bueno instead which was warm) The cheesy chips portion was too small for a large and barely had enough cheese on it. Their website is also broken as I made an order and WAITED MULTIPLE HOURS just to find out they where closed the day after.The delivery took about an hour to arrive and the food was sub par.
