Tame Valley Hotel — Restaurant in Tameside

Went on monday, 1 of us had the special, Chipotle beef wrap the fries were like rock and the sour cream on the wrap tasted like sick. 1 fish and chips the fish was ridiculously greasy and the batter was almost illuminous yellow and tasted odd like it had vinegar or something in it. 1 lasagne which wasnt the usual ive had there previously it was a small square piece in the middle of the usual dish which had been microwaved to death, a ring of rock hard welded on cheese around it and over a cm in the meat was rock hard, dry and inedible and the garlic bread was like brick. 1portion of onion rings which were pretty much raw inside and what batter was actually stuck to them was again illuminous and very odd tasting. We also got the kids sausage mash and beans which was fine other than instant mash and fish batter stuck all over the sausage. Half way through eating the whole place filled with a sort of white smoke which honeslty smelled of rancid oil so bad it would have put me off my food if I had been able to eat it in the first place. We went to the Tame Valley hotel after my Mothers funeral today, we booked food fir after the funeral and wasn’t disappointed, we wasn’t even asked for a deposit which I find not only unusual these days but very trusting from the Tame Valley Hotels point of view, the drinks were very reasonable and can only say thankyou to all the staff involved, if you want top notch then “don’t go” but if you want decent food and friendly staff at reasonable prices then I would highly recommend them...
