This place opened pretty recently, and it's quite out of the way, tucked in that lonely zone of Crown Point retail park opposite the Aldi. I wandered in on a whim for some breakfast, because I'll be damned if I'm ever setting foot in Greggs again, and first impressions were brilliant. Simple, understandable menu items that still allow for customisation. Genuinely lovely, smiling and friendly staff. The lady who took my order was a real ray of sunshine. A starkly clean and open little dining space that felt very comfortable. A wonderful smell of sweet, battery crepe mixture that made me feel like I was in Vienna or somet like (as long as I turned my back to the window). Of course, the food's the main event, and I'm pleased to say it's a delight. The menu is well worked-out, elegantly refined for maximum effect, and I applaud whoever came up with its various items. I had the chicken, mozzarella, rocket and barbecue sauce crepe. In short, the crepe was very light and slightly crispy, the chicken and cheese were melted together to perfection and the rocket & sauce gave it that extra punchy piquancy that pushed it to the top tier, in my opinion. The seasoning was perfect - less is more - and I found myself very happily surprised. There's lots more on the menu, and you can bet I'll be back. At £6-£7 for a savoury crepe it's a little pricey for Denton, but that's more than made up for by sheer quality. Loved it! My thanks...
Read moreI’ve visited a few times for coffee and hot chocolate, and also for brunch. The food has always been good, and the staff are friendly.
That said, the cleanliness does need attention. On our most recent visit, there were dirty plates left on tables when we arrived and as we were eating on other tables. After some time the staff did collect the plates, but there was no proper clean down, and the chairs were left untucked and untidy. The green booth really needs a deep clean (or perhaps a colour change more suited to heavy use), and the menus were greasy and in need of a wipe-down / options for QR codes might help.
The floor was untidy with crumbs, hair, and even chewing gum, and the entrance rug clearly needed hoovering. We know cafés can get very busy, but this didn’t feel like just the day’s rush. The stickiness on tables/ chairs and the dirty floor is because it hasn’t been cleaned properly for some time. The whole place would really benefit from a proper deep clean.
The food itself was ok this time round, but the lack of cleanliness has put me off returning for now. There were times in the cafe where it was quiet and staff could have easily cleaned up but that didn’t happen. A little more attention to cleaning would make a...
Read moreI Love the fact that this new crepe place has arrived in Denton, it’s always the same for me it’s just greggs or Starbucks or even costa if I want my go to, you know what you get but the atmosphere just isn’t really right, in other words it’s nothing unique. However the creperie is actually very interesting it’s certainly posh and unique with the real blue colour and the gold, but I just really enjoy the atmosphere, I do get some people may be put off by the “poshness” but I can seriously tell you that it’s cheap, easy and calm, also it’s got a beautiful atmosphere, I like how interactive it is too, the staff are welcoming and what more can I say, I would like to point out a worker called Yash, He seems like he knows what he’s doing he manages properly and I believe this could seriously contend other crepe places in the future, obviously not now. But It’s a great place to go sit and get away from the same old Greggs and other giant company’s. Little pointer the pizza pocket crepe was great and I like how the menu isn’t too confusing and is easy plus the options...
