The Winning Post & Paragon's Curry and Grill — Restaurant in Tamworth

Being from Birmingham I've been to a fair few indian grill type places, and have long thought Tamworths been missing a trick. I'm so happy we've finally got one and man it's amazing.

Got a goat curry, which is so rare to find authentic on the bone curries. Was absolutely superb. Most curries around the area are just so sweet and full of sugar.. This was far from that.

Then also got a small mixed grill for £6 with enough to feed at least two people. Chicken tikka was breast which I thought was likely to be dry. Was so juicy and tasty, and can clearly tell its all been cooked from fresh. Don't usually like the kebabs but again was beautiful. All served on a bed of sizzling onions.

We've been to so many curry houses or got takeaways and been pleased by one of two things but always let down by another. Can categorically say every thing served was absolutely bang on. Amazing onion bhajis, naan breads and extra sauces etc.

Then the service was just so nice. Staff are friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. Relaxed casual dining style which is definitely how I prefer it. Amazing experience 10/10. Just so chuffed we've got this on our doorstep now. Can't wait to get back and try the...

Love this place the food really is 5* the service is also 5* this is a busy restaurant the staff are friendly and can’t do enough for you even took me home when I couldn’t get a taxi so I’m disappointed to see reviews that are not deserved someone complaining about wrong meal sent out had they of rang restaurant this would of been rectified immediately and correct meal resent out asap as this happened to me so if you don’t inform restaurant to rectify this and let them know then you shouldn’t be writing a bad review!! And as for a group of ladies being too loud the restaurant is attached to a pub groups of people go out to celebrate birthdays anniversaries etc and sometimes can be loud had you of again spoke to the staff I’m sure they would of approached the table and asked the group to maybe keep the volume down but the restaurant doesn’t deserve a 1* review because of this as you should be writing reviews on the food and sevice is definitely not that and maybe if you had a headache if you asked staff for a parecetomal they would if provided that too there very hospitable in that way!! This is people’s livelyhoods trying to build a buisness maybe try and understand that before slating it...

I was introduced to this place by my neighbours.. and I am forever grateful for this !! I only order from them when I fancy a curry (naga lamb curry is boss ) or a paragon mixed grill .. but my wife also tried it and we now love to try different things .. I mean .. we simply can’t fault them !!! The ONLY place that will make proper onion Bhajis… not sure if spelled right but my god … proper and delicious stuff .. curries and just everything.. I’ve literally ordered 5 times in the last 9 days 😂 and delivery is fast and food ALWAYS hot !!! No place in tamworth or the even Lichfield can compare to Paragon !! As a chef and big fan of food from other cultures I strongly recommend this place ! I order online directly from them .. delivery is rapid and I dnt have to pay more to Uber or Deliveroo where they charge me service and delivery charge and menu prices also increase just because you order online 😂 if you do like a curry ,honestly , go under (something different) and try lamb or chicken Naga .....
