Saw Tammy’s while on the way to East Grinstead and thought we’d give it a try for lunch on the way back, and definitely the best decision we took that day. When we went inside it was so packed with people, which is always a great sign. We were welcomed even it being so busy and they managed to find us a corner table to sit down, so lucky! We got some starters and mains with rice, and they were absolutely delicious! the food came really quickly as well, super impressed with it considering how busy they were. The prices were really reasonable as well. Also much mention how lovely the people were, always with a smile and so helpful. Definitely going back for more very soon!

One of the best Thai restaurants I have been too in heaven knows how long. My wife is Thai and we've eaten in many Thai restaurants over the years and this has got be one of the best ever! The menu is vast and even includes some dishes, most Thai restaurants don't offer in the UK. The service is excellent, very warm, friendly and non intrusive, and you don't have to jump around for the waiting staff's attention as they are ever alert and waiting to be called. The prices are extremely reasonable without compromise on quality. It is a five star restaurant without five star prices. We will be coming back here again and again.

We were greeted and sat quickly. We ordered soft drinks, diet coke and lemonade, neither were particularly fizzy or cold. We ordered a mixed platter to start which consisted of Prawn toast, crab claws, spring rolls, satay chicken. It was hot and a good size. I ordered massaman curry for my main and we shared a pad Thai. Both were fine, arrived hot. The massaman curry wasn't particularly flavoursome but did arrive on a cute stand. It is quite a pricey restaurant and I didn't walk away feeling blown away by tasty food but the waitresses were attentive and kept checking everything was OK.

Lots of people saying "Authentic" obviously aren't Thai!

The Som Tum was though, delicious. Asked for it to be hot in Thai but was okay spice wise. Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.

The rest was nice. I tried my friends dishes though they didn't want to share and it was all Anglicised. Shame. It didn't taste bad, just not as amazing as it should be. I got the Chicken Basil (Kai Ka Pao), it was not authentic at all and was quite disappointing for a native, my friends liked it though. Wasn't bad, just not how it should be.

It's also strange for me to have anything but plain rice with food, unless you have sticky rice with som tom or green curry. So my friend ordering coconut rice with his red curry made me wince - bit like soaking a nice steak with ketchup. But, hey food is meant to be enjoyed, so who am I to say how to eat it though that's not how it's done back home. My other friend was recommended a prawn dish - usually it's chicken or mainly pork, which I thought was like having mince turkey in a Shepards pie.

Overall really nice. We all enjoyed it, but it really wasn't authentic which was a bit disappointing, but that's most Thai...

After a long drive and then pitching a tent in the blazing sunshine my family and I were keen to be catered for. No cooking over a camp stove, a proper sit-down meal was needed.

A little tour of the area around our campsite brought us to Tammy's. Despite it being the bank holiday weekend and the restaurant being fully booked the wonderful staff managed to squeeze us in right at the beginning of evening service.

We arrived at 6.30 in the knowledge that we could have the table for 90 minutes or so and for the whole of that time we fed ourselves a succession of Thai food which was tasty and fresh.

The staff were attentive and noticed when our drinks needed refilling and the atmosphere was relaxing, just what we needed after a busy time pitching our tent.

I can recommend whole-heartedly with the caveat: book first if you can!

Meal for four with three rounds of...

Updated, feb 2022. This restaurant is awful. Had to eat their food again because a birthday party chose it. Honestly, it reminds me of Chinese food in the 1970’s. I truly don’t get the positive reviews. Since my first review (following) they are still using polystyrene takeaway containers. No excuse for that. My latest meal was inedible and other members of the party messaged me to say ‘you can’t really call that food’. Review 1: A red curry 'with beef' which actually had so little beef in it, it was a misnomer and should have been named red curry with water chestnut and some beef, if you are lucky. Why this restaurant is still using polystyrene takeaway trays when there are so many recyclable options...
