my boyfriend took me to the otter and butterfly and we got a bit peckish so we decided to come to this little café which is really lovely as it has a toy shop/museum thing just through the other room they have lovely cake sandwiches and also normal foodThey do some lovely drinks like this amazing raspberry fizzy drink. we got some garlic bread two sandwiches the sandwiches were very lovely very filling and the garlic bread was freshly made so I really do appreciate that the decorations were very nice and the atmosphere was cute because there was lots of fake parrots everywhere.

This is a cosy spot with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The decor is charming, with hanging floral arrangements and soft lighting from strings of lights. They have a display counter filled with yummy pastries like flapjacks, brownies, muffins, and cakes. Plus, there's a chalkboard menu that highlights some of their special of the day. Great service and a fantastic view on a sunny day. Food was well presented and delicious Some of the dishes did feel a bit pricey for the size, but we enjoyed them so much that we felt they were worth it.” We will be back

Visited Birdies kitchen for the first time after seeing a lot of advertising on Facebook. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, as it is part of the South Devon Railway in Buckfastleigh there's lots to see and do. I had a half steam english breakfast and the scrambled eggs were delicious and the breakfast was reasonably priced. There is also an amazing model shop on the side, which is great to look at, I definitely will be returning in the future to try some of there other great food on there large menu.

A very early put stop for us on our way to a funeral in Plymouth in absolutely pouring rain. Hot drinks and some sausage and bacon baps set us up for the next stage of our journey. Plenty of filling in the baps and they were warmed through for us while we waited. Good natured and friendly staff prepared to have a joke with you! Very glad we opted for here, not the golden arches a couple of miles up the road. I have pinned it on Google maps so I don't need to look for it next time. If there is a negative comment it is the fact there were only two accessible disabled bays, the other two made inoperative as a ramp had been put over them. The main car park is quite a hike from the café and shop. Hopefully this will be sorted before we return in a month or so. Hence...

Went here yesterday for lunch with my daughter and granddaughter. Very impressed with the child's lunch as it included sandwich, drink, crisps, piece of fruit and a veggie snack pot. However, my sandwich was out of date, the bread was stale and the contents were sour tasting. I went and complained but was told it couldn't be like that as they sell so much they don't get food left over. Tried to eat it but it was awful, my daughter tried it and also said it was definitely off. Before we left I complained to someone else and he did give me a refund but I left having had no lunch when it should have been replaced the first time...
