I’m not a man to write bad reviews owning my own company myself I don’t agree with 0 star reviews unless they are the complete truth and this here is the complete truth 😊

I have been going in the skinners arms since I can remember over 20 years , my brother was the manager for 10 of them years and I have met many different landlords & landlady’s throughout the years.

Not once I have ever experienced such a rude lady to their punters or staff Alison is one of the rudest lady’s I have ever Met.

My reason for the bad review is I agreed with Peter ( landlord )some weeks ago I have a small tab each week , I only drink lime and soda & eat crisps/chocolate bars & the problem I was having is my banking just constantly said skinners arms due to the small payments & im in this pub everyday after work with the lads who work for me so we agreed this tab to make it easier & to not show so many payments haha. This has never been a problem until….

The Saturday that just passed I was in there in the afternoon with my partner and kids & Pete or Alison never mentioned to me about my little £40 tab at all even though they both had the chance to

Instead when I returned that evening around 9:30pm with my partner to watch the boxing we walked in ordered a drink what would of mostly likely gone ( straight on the tab and would of all been settled at the end of evening ) but my friend who was there actually thought the first round.

I see Alison come downstairs to the bar and start speaking to her bar staff * still nothing said to me just her sarcastic smile as per * she went back up stairs and that was her gone. Moments later I went to go out for a cigarette & I hear a member of the staff shouting my name waving receipts over bar shouting Alison said you need pay this before I go. What is no problem at all but my problem is… do you thinking in a pub full of people on a boxing night you should be getting your staff to belittle a daily regular by screaming and waving receipts in the air in front of 30/40+ people.

I do fully understand a tab is to be paid & i am definitely not short of £44 of what the tab was considering I know People with £400 tabs in there who haven’t even been questioned. I just think Alison needs to look into her people skills abit more and maybe instead of trying to be little people just ask when face to face when you had plenty opportunities to & definitely not in a pub full of people.

I know I’m not the only person who feels like this as I know good few of the old boys who have been in drinking in there 40+ way before my time but was drinking with my dad have left the pub because how rude this woman can be.

The following day I went in and asked what all this was about and I just got her sarcastic replies and she just start blaming it on her 17 year old bar staff who actually was nothing to do with this I’m not going to say I replied back in a sensible manor as that would be lying I said some home truths and couple of ** & promised I would drink in the pub again while they are there 😊 with pleasure

A lovely pub with picturesque beer garden to the side... Fair size carpark to rear.

Maria and Simon have this place looking stunning attention to detail is clear to see here..

What puts this place a step above the rest is that they open for drinks at 10am instead of the usual 11/12.

Customers can relax and unwind with a coffee or a pint earlier than usual

Breakfast is served Wednesday to Sunday from 10am and pizzas from 12-9pm daily

This is a great Pub / Hub with a lot of locals in today enjoying chatting and relaxing together, this place must be a great community link for these people.

Just wow what a shame how this lovely little pub has turned out , Saturday night myself & my partner went out for date night meal & stopped in here to end the evening and I can happily say I will never step foot in this place again it was full of drugs from young teens to adults even the shortish lady who works behind bar was seen by a wide crowd passing drugs around. We have attended this venue on numerous occasions last year to watch football or when they had music playing it was never like this ? x
