What a shame! Haven't been here for a couple of years and went today for a spot of lunch and wish I hadn't. While we were welcomed in by the staff in a very friendly manner and got a drink and were offered a table by a large round window with a beautiful view out to see, this was the highlight of the visit. After placing out order we were then subject to a raging argument between the staff coming from upstairs. This went on for several minutes before our starters arrived and continued while we ate them until I got so fed up listening to it I moved to the other side of the pub to escape it. After informing the barman that we were moving due to the bickering staff and telling him he should inform a manager about it I was told "that was the manger". I couldnt believe that a manager would conduct that kind of conversation within earshot of customers, very unprofessional! The only reason this is a 2 star review and not a 1 star review is because of the great service offered by the barman/waiter (apologise I didn't catch your name) he was very apologetic for what was going on and was very visably embarrassed by it. He was very attentive throughout my visit. If I hadn't just filled a position I would have offered him a job! Such a shame as used to be a great pub but now looks tired with paint and wallpaper peeling off the walls and the food was just as bland. I hope this place improves as it's in such a...

I used to be a regular at this pub. Its widely known that it's gone off in the last two years, but the other evening a friend and I were desperate for food so we chanced it. It is honestly the worst pub food we have ever had. My fish and chips was really awful. Tiny bowl of greasy flacid oven chips with a miniscule piece of fish with batter over it three times the size of the fish. Before I tasted the chips I pointed out that there weren't many of them, and was told 'I;ll ask the chef, but I won't make any promises'. Best thing about it was the mushy peas but I got just one tablespoon. My friend's burger was worse. Rubbery, tasteless and smothered in pulled pork that tasted of nothing. My dinner plus a glass of wine was £26. Friend's similar. Never again. There are one or bar staff that are OK, but there are at least two who are unhelpful, sarcastic and just plain rude. A friends son who worked there said it's a terrible place to work with everyone bitching about everyone else and no care whatsoever for the customers. This once lovely pub badly needs new management. And a decent chef. And some staff who have been trained in...

We came to visit Belle tavern on Sunday the 24th September for my mother's birthday. We came for weekend away to visit the coastal places in the area. Sadly 3 of us became unwell after having the beef Roast dinners. My poor mum. The other guests had pork & they were fine. They weren't overall impressed. I did not eat all my beef/dinner so I gave some beef to my dog & she was poorly aswell. Wish I hadn't!! The cuts of beef looked awful very chewy, rubbery & undercooked. Should be lovely, fresh, lean , tender & cooked properly. Not very appetising at all. The vegetables didn't look great either. Overall luke warm. We will not be returning when we come to visit Ramsgate again in near future We're from Suffolk. Hope no one else gets poorly from eating at this restaurant. Head office sent me a voucher via email to cover the 3 meals. I highly doubt we will be using them to eat food in any of their...

Great pub with excellent views over Pegwell Bay. We went on Sunday no Sunday roasts but a great varied menu to suite all tastes , beside each item the calories for the meal are shown as well as if suitable for vegan or vegetarian. Great selection of ales and for the drivers Noughty Bear 0.5% pale ale ,which was surprisingly pleasant. My wife had Swordfish fillet which she said was lovely as was Firecracker supreme chicken. The Beef & ale pie was a little hard to cut into but once inside was full with meat.Service was excellent and car parking directly opposite pub. The pub is dog friendly. For parties of 6 or more there's a discretionary 10% service charge and on all bills you are given the opportunity to donate 25p added to your bill for charity. Also if there on a Sunday music on the terrace overlooking Pegwell Bay from 4pm. Well worth a visit.

Arrived for our meal booked table for 6 and given our menus. Went and bought our drinks and placed our food orders . Sat and waited for our meals , people who arrived after us received their meals before us ??? Food arrived generous portions but bacon on the Belle beef burger was hard and dry , otherwise no complaints with that choice . Cod and chips well mostly hake and a tiny piece of cod . Child’s cod and chips was awful batter burnt and fish was so tiny and hard . Grandson not amused . We wanted to order desserts but one hours wait which was when they were closing . Staff and atmosphere fabulous just tiny faults , we will visit here again soon. Most importantly Covid -19 rules at this pub were taken seriously phone numbers and names where required before entering pub garden and marked out accordingly sanitizer available.

An amazing pub in fantastic location!! The pub itself is great but the beer garden is incredible and the views are almost unbeatable. We visited on a warm, but cloudy day and obviously chose to sit outside to enjoy the picturesque scenery and I can fully understand why the pub is nicknamed 'The balcony of Kent'. Unfortunately I live on the opposite side of Kent otherwise I would 100% make this pub my local. Great food and drink, fantastic service, overall an awesome place, I definitely will be back when I can. There are enjoyable walks to and from the pub as well which makes it an even more attractive place to visit. There was also a friendly cat which helped keep our kids interested. There was a good selection of Shepherd Neame beers and an appetising menu. Can't wait to return. Definitely recommended.
