I went to this restaurant for the view. While seated you can't see much of the sea because of the position of the windows. I stood up at one point (WEARING A MASK) and walked a few steps to get closer to the window for a second to glance at the sea. Very quickly I was told off by the waiter who said he can't have people wandering through the restaurant. I was not wandering through the restaurant! As there was hardly anyone in the restaurant at the time, I wasn't even close to anyone for them to be concerned about social distancing. I understand we need to adhere to social distancing rules, but I don't think ditching common sense and politeness is a good idea. Did not appreciate the attitude!

As for the food, it was quite unimpressive and pricey. Also there very little choice, it's more like a pub, less like a...

We went here for lunch on our way to visiting family in Deal. We parked in the hotel opposite and crossed over the road to the restaurant. It had lovely views of the sea and outdoor seating, we chose to sit indoors as it was a very windy day but still had a lovely view of the coast. There was a good and varied choice of food in the menu at very good prices and service was prompt and friendly. We had the fish sharer platter and it was amazing. Huge prawns calamari, whitebait, green lipped mussels all beautifully cooked and delicious. We then had ham, egg and chips, one had a burger and one the steak pie. The food was lovely my only regret was that we didn't have time for pudding but I would love to go back...

The view is absolutely beautiful but the experience was a little disappointing. I asked whether they had a vegetarian option of the Sunday roast, and they said yes, a nut roast. So I ordered and paid £17 for it. When it arrived, it was clear the "nut roast" contained no nuts, and appeared to be a cobbled together mush of whatever was left in the kitchen (rice, mushrooms, etc). I was not even given a Yorkshire pudding or cauliflower cheese, despite this being on the menu. Instead I received a sad, separate plate of 3 plain, unseasoned, boiled cauliflowers with no cheese or sauce. The food took 1 hour. We also had to ask for the table to be cleared and wiped, as it was left dirty for 20 minutes from...

On the off chance we went to have a meal here. We didn't book and wanted to sit out on the balcony to have our meal. Unfortunately it was a bit windy as the tide was coming in. But if you can bare it. It's beautiful, right over the water with fantastic sun sets. We sat inside, and luckily enough we got a table. All the staff were great. The food was lovely, we went for the bear battered cod and chips. It was a huge portion. The staff attended to our every whim. We will definitely return.

A great location overlooking Pegwell Bay. Staff were attentive, welcoming and friendly. A varied menu was offered we had seafood starter for 2 and chicken kebabs which certainly were delicious and filled us up.(see photos). Would definitely visit again when in the area.
