Has changed so much over the years after going there the other evening, lovely new restaurant inside quite large. Did not see anyone waiting for service & only about four or five people in the restaurant, it was a week night & the restaurant was not busy so I cant give any recommendations about the food etc. The only shame was a group of middle age men were very loud standing at the bar, they made so much noise laughing & shouting! I was in there with family I had not seen for over 37yrs, we had trouble just trying to talk to eachother as the fellas at the bar were acting like they were at a football match, so loud that we had to keep asking eachother to repeat what we had just said? None of the staff asked the fellas to please be a bit more considerate for others in the pub, maybe this is why the pub & restaurant only had eight other people inside not including the group of about five or six middle age men acting like they were still in a playground at school? We had two drinks then left to go visit Wheatherspoons in Ramsgate so we could chat & hear eachother! If it was not for the group of fellas, plus the staff taking no notice or action, we would of stayed. If they had then we would of proberly ended up eating there too, but it was just unaceptaible behaviour from grown middle age men acting like teenagers that made us leave. If it was not for this then I would of given 5* as its a loverly pub & restaurant, just some of the clientele are not very nice & let the pub side down very nosiy! Would of given 5* if you could hear what you were...

They say all it takes is one negative experience and sadly it’s been just that in respects to my experience here today. I specifically picked this place out above all others in which to have my birthday meal, but was met with awfully unkind and unfriendly service from the two waitresses. Firstly, I was told that I could not sit at the table of six as it had been reserved for an hour from now despite there being no reservation on the table, but still it’s fair enough, and we respected that. We were then told that we could not put tables together so was expected to all sit separately in the non smoking area. Who wants to do that for a family meal? We were then offered to put the tables together in the smoking area which I would never dream of sitting to enjoy a meal ever least of all with young children!!! I explained this in a respectful way and was told basically it’s tough luck and the only option we had was to sit indoors on this lovely sunny day. I wouldn’t mind but the place was practically empty, and if that’s the service you are offered I can see why it was empty. I have to say that the barman however was very kind and welcoming, but due to the reception from the two waitresses, I decided to take my business elsewhere. If you don’t care about the service you receive then by all means eat here because the food is lovely, but if you do, unless they change the waitresses, I would give it...

Been there a few times now for different trips. To eat, to drink, for a function and with the children. (Despite what the radio advertisement says, I don't think they are too keen on kids)

A friend of mine also took their kids there only to be told the play area was shut and they didn't have enough staff to put out there to monitor the area. Health and safety reasons blandfully cited from the one dimension bar person. (Kids are the parent responsibility therefore the parent should be able to adequately supervise there own children, when in a oark)

Very nice location. The function room was nice. It had a little terraced area. After the function was complete there seemed to be no interest in keeping our party there. We're were abruptly told it's 5pm we all have to leave. So we did and we enjoyed the belle vue just...

First time we have visited. Thorley taverns pub at its best and very similar to the Captain Digby at Kingsgate bay. A pub and restaurant at many different levels. You will definitely be able to find somewhere to enjoy the sun during the summer. Lovely beers and a number of different bars will ensure you don't have to wait long. If you fancy some food there is a large menu that will make sure you get well fed. Perhaps a little overpriced but I guess you have to pay for that amazing view.

Driving back to Dartford from a short stay in Ramsgate, decided to pop in here for a lunchtime bite and basically to tick the pub off as visited (pub ticker lol). Nice Gadds beer, nice lunchtime food, very well presented pub and lovely views over Pegwell Bay. For info pubs car park is opposite in the Pegwell Bay Hotel, which looks worth a stay in future. Special mention to Sophie who served me at the bar, you're a legend ❀. Date of visit Weds 9th November 2022.

Really lovely place to eat and have a drink. Been here a few times since we found out the bar area is dog friendly. Food has always been really tasty and hot, with a reasonable waiting time. Friendly and welcoming staff, who fell in love with our puppy and made her feel at ease. Nice old fashioned atmosphere, which we love even though we're still young. Seems to attract a lot of mature people but sometimes a mix of ages. Will definitely be returning
