This wonderful cafe has to be of the most child friendliest places in the UK. Tucked up on a side street in Tonbridge I only found it because I googled cheap places to eat while on a day trip to the town. The children's meals were wholesome and delicious and altogether perfect. I had a fluffy baked potato and prawns in a delicious mayonnaise with a beautiful side salad. It was all a great eating experience for a family of noisy hungry children! And the staff are very friendly and obviously love having children in to eat. They also make a proper mug of tea. The Cafe has been here for many many decades although the present owners have run it perhaps 20 years? It is unusual though for a cafe to serve very fresh fish but the fish is fresh enough to chose Place. Place is an excellent fish if caught and eaten straight away or caught frozen soon after catching otherwise it is the worst choice. Not that old fish is ever worth having but some people like it. Place is a delicate fish so do not put any source on it.
