Great pub, located in beautiful West Malling. Beatiiful old building, the bar area has old wooden beams and a largel fire place. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, the regulars all friendly and polite. The barman greeted us with a warm and friendly manner, kindly explaining the ales on selection (The bar has a great range of ales and beers) and allowing a taste before choosing. Nothing was too much trouble when explaining the menu. We made our way to the restaurant area which was modenised in a typical country pub style. We ordered starters which were generous in portions and worth the price. I asked for the Sunday roast beef, which I recommend. The giant yorkshire pudding was cooked light, fluffy and crunchy with lots of flavour. The veg cooked perfectly, not to soft or al dente and just the right ammount. The roast tattees where full of flavour, crunchy and definitely not reheated, (As some pubs do ending up with that reheated texture / flavour) The servings of beef were incredibly generous, unlike most pubs I've gone to for a Sunday roast usually serve 3 slices of thinly cut beef, I was happy to see 7 slices, non of which had any grissle or fat. Served with a large boat of hot non lumpy gravy. -Atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed - Staff are friendly, welcoming and professional - The food was spot on, warm homely pub grub - Facilities are clean and fresh, I always say the cleanliness oc the loo's / facilities is a reflection of the kitchen. - Cost was spot on for the qaulityand portion size We would definitely recommend and visit again.

I described this to a friend as a proper pub 'pub' ! By chance, I was there for the Ukelele group night and joined in for a sing-along! Great fun. Then, on a next visit, I just happened to be there for their quiz night. When I get the chance, I will make it a regular place to visit. I did not have food, so I could not comment, but the service was good and a lovely atmosphere! There is a public car park opposite.

Food at The Bull Inn was what I expect in pub grub: wholesome, hearty and homemade. They have an excellent selection of huge savoury pies. A traditional pub with warm, inviting locals. Food was excellent value for money. After 3 courses I walked away feeling fuller than a Bull Inn Bum.

I have been in this pub on and off over the years, partly as it is a more traditional pub that serves a good selection of beers and partly because it’s not full of the clientele from the Farmhouse or The Five Pointed Star. Despite these two major advantages the staff and landlord seem actively hostile and unfriendly. The atmosphere is non existent and the beers are not all well kept - tonight we had one that was almost certainly off & despite immediately buying something else and passing back the 2 undrinkable pints the landlord didn’t even bother to ask what was wrong. I am amazed that this place has such a high rating and I won’t bd...

Update June 2025. Unfortunately I have had to remove a couple of stars just because you are to expensive, unfortunately this place can not be classified as a local due to price. It's very much like a traditional UK village pup with nice outside seating area, staff were friendly but not rushed off their feet. Bus stop to Maidstone jus across the road which runs around every hour back to Maidstone during the day from King's Hill. One novel and possibly helpful addition was the Guinness pump had a number of USB charging points!!

Great selection...
