Manny's Fish and Chips — Restaurant in Town Parks

Right, let me start by saying....tired of sub quality food in any takeaway, especially due to the prices being charged. Just getting really sick of it. I am saying this is not worst, trust me there is much worse, but please when you serve food make sure it is edible for the customer.

This is the second time with the same item in a matter of weeks.

So on the 15th Feb 2024 ordered 2 Sausages and a half portion of Onion rings, now sausages and the chips where fine (if someone went wrong with a sausage they should not be working in a chippy!) Onion Rings, well thats another story...2nd time same rubbish quality, barely edible, infact most went in the bin. Take 1 of these, use it for a frisbie or if you want to break a window, just throw one of these at it, but try and eat it and you will break your teeth, terrible, tough, chewy , not fit to be eaten. I am not being harsh, but this is the 2nd time in 4 weeks I had to throw them in the bin. Now £6.20 for that order, not sure where that comes from, seemed high, but considering I could not eat half of it, money was wasted. Why just why cannot you not get it right. What do you expect people to do when they get served this type of food? There is the FSA, they can check and there is a food quality reporting link on their website. Been using this chippy since I was a child and in the past few years the food has been abysmal. Have had to go back to complain on a few occasions within the last few years but continued to frequent the chippy 2 to 3 times per week. Countless amount of times the food had to be thrown in the bin and I’ve said nothing, so I don’t know why I gave them so many chances. Yesterday I paid just under £10 for a goujon meal which consisted of goujons slightly larger than the size of a finger which were mainly batter with rock hard chicken which had the consistency of chewing gum. I received a tin of Coke which was an import from Nigeria and did not taste like authentic Coca-Cola. The meal was in-edible and the drink was poured straight down the sink. Was asked to call back this morning to speak to a manager only to be told sometimes the goujons are small sometimes they’re larger, that’s just the way they come in & “am I the one that always complains” (twice in 20 years) then was told to just go and find somewhere else. I asked “are you serious” to be told yes, then I was hung up on. AVOID this chippy at all costs, disgusting food, disgusting...

Checked the menu on Just Eat, it said no chicken burgers,wraps etc. Rang to order a collection and was told I had to walk in to order, I asked was there chicken I was told they sold out. I arrived and ordered a cheeseburger instead ( even know I wanted Chicken) a man came in after me he ordered a chicken burger ( yes a chicken burger) it appears the staff member I spoke to was either lieing or lazy another man walked in and ordered a 3 piece of chicken ( appears if your ordering on just eat no chicken for you) The man who came in 5 mins after me and the man who came in 10mins behind him, had all left with there orders. Then the guy behind the counter shouted in to the kitchen (the wee quarter pounder) to my shock a woman said putting it on now. Considering this was a Wednesday night at 8.3o wasn't busy there's no excuse. Check out the pics I uploaded of the black lettuce which was in my burger ( health hazard) as for the burger like eating a piece of rubber.
