Went for a meal with the family just after the starter the waiter knocked over a full pint of cobra and my pint of coke in to my lap I was soaked. But it was an accident so didn’t make any fuss just said “it’s ok it was an accident” and tried to dry my self off however my timberland boots are ruined and I had to sit for the rest of the meal soaking wet and sticky. Bill came at the end and no gesture on behalf of the restaurant for me being soaked. Asked them and the 2 guys in charge were really rude just saying well we replaced the drinks....yes that you spilt. I had to sit cold wet and sticky as there was no handdryers or anything to help dry my jeans and top off. Shame as the food was nice but the customer service is seriously lacking. Had a similar incident happen in another restaurant manager could not be more helpful offered to pay for my clothes to be cleaned my starter was free (was only £3.00 but it’s the gesture) think the 2 guys in tonight need some further training in how to deal with customers first and last time I will...

At the end of my partner and her friends meal, Bengals brasserie added a service charge of £16 to their bill.
(Compulsory service charge: Must be stated to the customer in advance of ordering. The customer can only refuse to pay it if the service was poor. Discretionary service charge: Can be added to the bill receipt at the end of the meal, but the customer can decide not to pay it in any case.)
If this is a compulsory service charge, my partner and her friends were not made aware of the charge before ordering.
If this is a discretionary service charge, they were not made aware that it was a voluntary charge payment.
My partner and her friends would happily pay a tip, but at their own choice, and not Bengals brasserie automatically volunteering someone...
Read moreMe and my partner decided on a nice curry for valentine's, and we were definitely not disappointed. The gentleman that took our order over the phone was very helpful and friendly, as was the delivery driver. However, most importantly. The food was fantastic. This is the second time we have ordered from here, and it's now our no.1 go to for an excellent curry. Perfectly cooked to order, extremely flavoursome, always hot, not too heavy, and somehow always leaves you wanting more! Will definitely be dining...
