La Spiga Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells

My mum, sister and I visited La Spiga last Saturday evening and it was spectacular! The gnochetti may have been my favourite pasta dish of all time and my mum said her ravioli was truly delicious - she commented that it was miles tastier and better value for money compared to other places she had been including Cipriani in Mayfair. The atmosphere was lovely and the waitress was very kind and attentive. We all agreed to have desserts and frangelico as we were having such a wonderful time. The tiramisu and cannoli was delicious! It felt like a lovely, authentic family owned business - and I’m gutted we were only visiting and I don’t have this restaurant in my hometown!...

La Spiga is a true hidden gem in Tunbridge Wells. The space is small so it’s important to book your table ahead of time. We shared a bottle of the house white wine which paired perfectly with our food. Every dish we ordered was amazing and truly some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. It's a lovely little restaurant and we were the only diners on a bitterly cold Thursday night. Thursdays the lovely staff (husband and wife?) Informed us are often quiet. They were attentive without being obtrusive. I had risotto and pannacotta and my friend had a salmon dish and biscoff cheese cake. In both cases polishing the plate clean. A fine meal.
