Marlowe's Burgers - Tunbridge Wells — Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells

Having a chilled Sunday night with a few friends. As you'd expect, the drinks start flowing. I'm sat at the bar with the amazing izzy and lily, we all kind of realised at the same time the chip were taking more time than Ian Brady releasing the location of Keith Bennett. So the lovely staff of the BEDFORD, not marlowes decided to Investigate harder than Scotland Yard investigated the disapearance of Madaline McCann.

Lo and behold, they arrived faster than boy George finished in those public toilets.

The pub staff were...

Unfortunately I was unable to review the food. On visiting today we were greeted by a rude young lady demanding my name. Despite it being 8.30pm and the place being mostly empty (including the "bar" seats) she insisted they were unable to accommodate us. A bizarre experience and I genuinely pity the owners as I'm sure it is not their intention to have employed staff who seem determined to chase customers away. Given the lack of burger choices locally, I would have considered coming back later but apparently this wasn't an option. I like to support local, independent businesses but it seems this one just wasn't...

After spending almost the last decade trying out burgers wherever we go, and, having eaten A LOT OF BURGERS...this one at Marlowes would definitely be one of my favourites. I had the 'cheese'. It was MELT IN YOUR MOUTH good. I could have eaten another. The guys there are super friendly and knowledgeable so if you like a great burger than check this joint out. Also the raspberry sour was amazing. So were the chilli fries (a special) and the cheese and bacon fries. Basically everything was real good. So...maybe they should consider a black pudding special...
