What a total hidden gem of a place! We popped in after receiving a less than warm welcome somewhere else and we couldn’t have chosen a better spot. We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. A quick lunch turned into a lovely few hours over delicious food and copious amounts of good tea. A place that happily refills your teapot with hot water more than once is a winner in my book. We had a couple of toasted sandwiches which were delicious and accompanied by a very appetising salad. What a lovely place, friendly staff, plenty of parking and great food. We met our friends there who had flown into Stansted from Switzerland, they had got there by a short taxi trip and were amazed by the place, and asked if all English cafes were like this? (we told them yes-we'd saved on parking fees and hassle at the airport, I was in a good mood). We will definitely go back, I think they do kids...
