A spur of the moment booking saw us eating here for the first time and what a treasure we have found, The place is impeccably clean, way beyond what is visible on the surface, every nook and cranny was spotless. The whole set up is presented very well, characterful without being cluttered, welcoming and cosy without being cramped. Service was faultless, waitresses knew their roles, working as a team and the owner was none stop too, refreshing to see an owner getting stuck in rather than swanning around with an over entitled attitude. The food was excellent, we had crispy beef and bao bun duck to start, fresh, light, clean taste, well presented and just the right size portions. Beef roast dinner, longhorn beef (its surprisingly rare that a chef knows the breed of meat) was cooked to perfection, as was the rest of the plate. Sticky toffee pud to finish, light as a cloud, deep in flavour, a generous serving. This team really know what they are doing. 110 miles from us but wouldn't think twice about driving here on...

English: I was in those parts for work, I thought of stopping in a pub to eat something, the atmosphere was really captivating at first because the environment is evidently well-kept and well-attended, then I could also see the very efficient and operational staff, the girls who welcomed me and made me sit at the table, were impeccable both in the welcome and in the professionalism with which they addressed me, then there was also a waiter, very professional, it is evident that all the staff is perfectly organized. Then, looking at the menu I realized that it was well studied and, looking at the dishes I had confirmation of the ability and professionalism of the kitchen; I must say that all the dishes called as well as being good, were also surprising, but above all the tiramisu, as an Italian I can logically speak with knowledge of the facts, the tiramisu even if accompanied by a totally foreign and contradictory white sauce, the dessert alone was really good, both for the consistency and for the flavor, even if the coffee flavor was a little too light. the price was very fair. Overall this place is really great, I can't wait to work in this area again to come back here and try new dishes!!!

Ero da quelle parti per lavoro, pensavo di fermarmi in un pub a mangiare qualcosa, l’atmosfera è stata davvero accattivante all’inizio perché l’ambiente è evidentemente ben curato e ben frequentato, poi ho potuto vedere anche il personale molto efficiente e operativo, le ragazze che mi hanno accolto e fatto sedere al tavolo, sono state impeccabili sia nell’accoglienza che nella professionalità con la quale si sono rivolte a me, poi c’è stato anche un cameriere, molto professionale, è evidente che tutto il personale è organizzato perfettamente. Poi, guardando il menù mi sono accorto che è stato ben studiato e, guardando i piatti ho avuto conferma della capacità e professionalità anche della cucina; devo dire che tutti i piatti call oltre che essere stati buoni, sono stati anche sorprendenti, ma soprattutto il tiramisù, da italiano logicamente posso parlare con cognizione di causa, il tiramisù anche se accompagnato da una salsa bianca totalmente estranea e controsenso, il dolce da solo è stato veramente buono, sia per la consistenza che per il sapore, anche se il sapore di caffè era un po’ troppo leggero. il prezzo è stato giustissimo. Nel complesso questo locale è davvero fantastico, non vedo l’ora di tornare a lavorare in queste zone per tornare qui ad assaggiare...

Used to be a nice pub. We went on jubilee Sunday. The staff behind the bar could do nothing but complain about there being customers. They even said they would close the doors to any more customers entering. Here's an idea, if you've got an extra influx of custom in this economic climate after barely surviving the pandemic and about to enter a recession, take all the custom you can get. Don't shut the door on them. You don't deserve to be in business with an attitude like that. Were made to feel really uncomfortable just for having bothered them so much.
