We have always enjoyed coming to the little seafood restaurant but after Saturdays meal and poor service we won’t be going back. It feels like they have expanded and refurbished the restaurant to max out on covers without thinking of staffing levels or the comfort of diners . We waited 1 hour and ten minutes for our food order to be taken and that was only after asking the solo waitress we could see if we could order . She said they had a table of ten to deal with , but no apology . We even had a long wait for our “arrival” bread . My seafood linguine was inedible - bland , dry and over salty . When I complained ( I had to leave it ) I was told ( rather rudely) that sea food is meant to be salty ! As a seasoned seafood lover I know that ! We tried to get my meal price deducted from our bill but they wouldn’t agree to that, so now writing this review as I think important to always provide an opportunity to apologise or reduce the bill but neither will be forthcoming . We won’t be going back , and neither will our friends and family who we have previously recommended this...
Read moreI accidentally found a place to eat fish while looking on google maps. I was surprised at the nice and rustic place in a small village. However, seems to have also been pointed out by other users that the lunch menu is more extensive or with better deals. I tried in the evening and still happy with the choice, the staff and the good service all very good and very kind. The one thing I would like to point out is that it touches me a lot, for example, since I'm Italian, you don't put Parmesan cheese on pasta with fish normally, second the linguine pasta had been cut and not left whole, perhaps in order to better mix the pasta with the seasonings. One last thing, the bathroom is located outside the structure and to access it you have to cross the kitchen. The service charge is 12.5% as average and for two people with 2 starters, 2 main courses, 1 dessert and 2 drinks we...
Read moreWe read the reviews and thought we would give it a go. I booked inadvane and my wife and I arrived at noon for a lunchhtime treat. We recieved a friendly welcome as we sat at the front window seat. We shared 2 hot starerts of battered prawns and squid. The squid was soft not chewy so we knew we were off to a good start. A cold seafood buffet for 2 was made up for us based on our personal choices from the counter. A good selection was served with French bread accompanied by our "bring you own" bottle of wine". The food was very good particularly the crevettes of which we ordered 4 more. The place is clean and unpretentious with a laid back atmosphere. The provided wine glass were like new. The service was also very good and always with a smile. We will be back.Excellent...
