18/11/22 Now bear in mind they had only been open to the public for 2 days. Table booked for 12pm they dont open the doors until 12 so we had to wait outside until just after 12. I would suggest the 1st reservation should be 12:15 so you aren't waiting outside. Particularly as we had a lift drop us off at 11 :50am, luckily it wasnt freezing or raining. We were shown to our table then advised we would be brought our menus. The decor is stunning really nicely laid out, Our server Kyle asked for our drink orders, he wanted to take the wine glasses away but my glass was actually stuck to the table, managed to get it off eventually! We wanted the dessert cocktail Baileys Tini I think it was called but they didnt have any, so 2 of us had the long island ice teas be warned it literally has almost every spirit in it then topped with Pepsi, it is really really nice but as per the norm its packed to the rafters with crushed ice, so although a strong cocktail it's not too bad as there is so much ice in it. And 1 of us had the espresso martini she loved it. At this point we still haven't received our menus. Kyle then came and asked us were we ready to order!! Pointed out well we have no menus so no we aren't ready. Apologies were offered and menus arrived shortly after. We all wanted the fillet steaks, devastatingly this "STEAK" house only had x2 fillet steaks. A big discussion then followed including the manager on how on earth Miller and Carter can run out of what they are all about "STEAK" sincere apologies were given, as they have only been open for a few days, I opted for the sirloin. 2 of us asked them if we could ditch that god forsaken quarter of a lettuce wedge, seriously what on earth is that all about! They must have so much wastage on that lettuce there is way too much of it! And it's not like you get it any cheaper if you choose not to have it! Cutlery was a bit dirty, all had a different sauce for our steaks, peppercorn, truffle and porcini and beef dripping, all 3 were absolutely delicious. You get a deep fried onion wedge. A roasted tomato with balsamic on, we had garlic button mushrooms and truffle mac and cheese as extras, OMG that truffle mac and cheese is to die for, and the mushrooms are wonderful too, steaks were very nice but I would have preferred a fillet I asked for medium but I would say it was more like medium rare. Both fillets were supposed to be medium rare 1 of them was more like medium but it was still really nice, I had a taste of the fillet and it was lovely. We finished off with the creme brulee, I would never have any other dessert from here, it is just the best, if I could I would have 2, it came with 2 delicious homemade biscuits with a slice of strawberry and blueberries. We wanted 3 floater coffees but they didnt have any bit weird are you telling me they dont have coffee and cream! So we all had hot chocolate which was very nice but would have liked to have finished with a lovely floater coffee hey ho!! All in all not bad considering they had only been open for a few days, I'm sure it will be popular but I would only go there on special occasions as it is way too pricey for a regular thing I think the cheapest steak is about £22.00 dont quote me on that though as I stupidly forgot to take a picture of the menu, , and they very cleverly dont put the prices on the online menu. The staff are lovely have a good system going, once they get a few shifts under their belt I'm certain it will become a well oiled machine, Whilst I love miller and Carter I have to say I miss Harvester who they replaced, it was more affordable and they did a cracking...

Read moreA lovely warm welcome, wishing us a happy anniversary, it started to so well, but unfortunately this standard didn’t continue. When we were ordering our main, it’s was disappointing that it wasn’t available with a few other items on the menu. The same happened with the dessert. The service was really slow and had to ask to order more drinks and there was a considerable wait between courses. The waitress was lovely, but more concerned about relaying a table, rather than clearing our plates despite actually looking and seeing we had finished. By the time she did come over, we had stacked and pushed our plates to one side, as we were fed up with them being sat there for so long in front of us. For a Steak house, it was disappointing to have a grisly, chewy steak. My husband cut a piece of his for me, as he had a bigger steak and we just wanted to try and enjoy our celebration rather than sending it back and having to potentially wait for this issue to be sorted. The pudding was awful, I had one spoon full and it was stone cold as was the custard that look very unappetising and also cold. At no point was there a check back to ask if everything was ok and even when clearing the pudding I had left, the waitress noticed that it had barely been touched. I waited to see if she would ask if everything was ok, to give me the opportunity to say actually no, but instead she just cleared the full plate of dessert at which point I asked for the bill when she was ready. It wasn't particularly busy, so I don’t know what the problem was, but a very disappointing experience after a recommendation. The only positive thing was that they serve good coffee. It’s not an easy job, I have worked as a waitress, but the one thing that should be priority is...
