Subway — Restaurant in Vale of White Horse

New cohort of staff seem completely unmotivated to be there. Chap that served me had his cap right down low over his face so couldn't see him.

At the sandwich filling preparation area I had to ask him to actually spread the meat all the way to the edges of the bread twice, an given a huff like I was asking the world to not have 2 inches of gap on either end of the sandwich.

At the salad area he just pointed at the salad rather than asking what I wanted. Portions of salad extremely stingy, to the point I had to ask for more on every item.

Ordered the wife's salad bowl and same again very stingy, I had to ask for extra of everything. I swear he was doing it on purpose because he would grab a large handful of the item, put one or two in the box, then put the rest back...

When it came to pay he just stood there looking at me, so I stood there looking at him. This result in him just pointing at the card machine. I asked how much the total was, he almost frustratedly told me how much it was an pointed at the machine again.

I paid an asked for a bag... Wow that was like I was asking the world.

This is a really old subway, you can tell because of the design, and the layout is not the best. The seating area is quite cramped, the tables and chairs are basic, the toilet is old (and rarely clean) and the decor is dated. However the service is great!

I ordered my usual from here Italian spicy which was fine. Plenty of salami and pepperoni. I don’t go crazy with the fillings.

Plenty of staff on to deal with the lunchtime rush (visited Sunday 13th Jan). We were served by Lenox who was very polite and friendly. The queue went down quite fast. There is nearly always a queue between 12-1 as it’s located in a shopping centre. By 1pm there was just 1 man queuing! Busy on a weekday because of local businesses.

Good parking and disabled access. They need to sort that antisocial alarm out which goes off every time someone walks...

I recently visited Subway Abingdon had a fantastic experience! The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient.
