The Sadlers — Restaurant in Vale of White Horse

Sadlers catered for our wedding at the end of May 2021 and the food was absolutely incredible (photos only attached of our canapes and one of the starters, as everything else was eaten up too quickly). Of course we are biased as we chose the menu but my grandad even told us it was the best food he had ever eaten at a wedding!

Paul is an excellent cook and him and Sietske did a wonderful job of helping us to make arrangements for the day. The food was a really important aspect of the wedding for us and we wanted it to be in line with our tastes and incorporate some of our favourite foods. We also wanted a more casual feel to the dining, with sharing platters for different groups of people across the three courses. Sadlers did all this perfectly and helped us work out a way to arrange this whilst meeting the Covid restrictions. The staff were all really professional and calm on the day and the food was everything we hoped for.

We definitely hope to visit the restaurant again in the future (and hope to maybe even sample some of our wedding...

Being in Faringdon on Sunday was a little frustrating. It was shut.

But we did make an unexpected find here.

We decided on the pasties, and they were by far the nicest we've had in ages.

They look and taste to have been made on the premises - by someone really good at it.

The pastry is light and nicely-textured with great flavour.

The Cheese and Onion pasty filling was generous and full of flavour.

The Cornish pasty filling was excellent, with proper chunks of beef and pieces of potato and swede, and a very tasty gravy.

The courtyard seating was very pleasant, being well sheltered from the breeze, and comfortably warm and open.

The people were friendly and helpful, and I've very rarely seen faster or better service.

Definitely one...

Sadlers catered for our wedding in April 2021 at Oxleaze Barn and the food was outstanding! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented, we had an afternoon tea with home made scones, a delicious selection of cakes (including macerons, lemon drizzle, chocolate brownie, spiced Tunisian cake), and lovely summery sandwiches, salads and snacks (including smoked salmon, parmesan bites, avocado and sun blush tomato salad, posh sausage rolls and much more!). They were very flexible with the menu and came up with great menu suggestions including all the ideas we wanted and catering for everyone's dietary requirements.
