Ok, I've debated with myself a lot and I'm not going to knock off a star on this review. But why would I? You may ask... Well, quite simply, the portions are gargantuan.

And by gargantuan, I mean "I had a calzone that was bigger than my head". It tasted great but boy did I regret eating the whole thing 😅

As a starter we split the calamari (decent portion, really nice and breaded rather than battered which was a nice change) and a garlic bread - which was the size of a full-size pizza!

My wife had the canneloni which, again, could have been half the size and been a decent meal, maybe if you want this plan on sharing it between you - then you can avoid being canne-lonely... Sorry, sorry, I'll try to keep the puns to a minimum.

The girls had pizzas and they were equally huge and amazing.

For pudding the girls had ice-cream which was nice and I had a tiramisu. Now, I know that a tiramisu is usually served in small squares so that's what I was expecting - but this again was enormous, about twice the size of a pack of cards!

In short, this was a huge meal. It's not cheap but not too expensive and it's very good value - and tasted great. Heartily recommended and we...

After Amici D'Italia was recommended by friends we booked a table for Saturday's night out. The staff is very friendly and the food is very nice and tasty and good size potions. My wife had roasted duck (anatra arrosto, very nice) and I initially ordered lasagne but by mistake I was given a noodle overbake with chicken (penne al forno della casa) which was very nice. The staff came with the lasagne to swap but I already started the penne as I don't wanted it going in the bin. We ask if we can take the lasagne also and take it home for Sunday's lunch. I didn't expect that we only had to pay for our drinks, lasagne and roasted duck and not for the penne al forno della casa. Thank you so much. All in all very nice Italian restaurant, very nice friendly staff and good size portions and tasty...

We went on a quiet early evening mid week. The restaurant was clean and well presented. You could tell that the owners had thought carefully about the décor, even down to the fresh flowers at each table. We were seated quickly as we had pre booked a table, and the waitress was attentive and friendly to our needs. We decided against the wine list and went for the tap water instead that was chilled and had fresh lemon, which was a nice touch. The food portions were generous, and the quality of the food was excellent! Everything was presented well and tasted fresh and delicious. This was a lovely spot for a romantic meal and would be a great place to have dinner with friends too. We will definitely return. It was authentically Italian and...

Parking is a risk a little car park opposite we ended up parking on the street not a problem but at busier times you could struggle? The welcome was standard but very warm and we was directed to our seats a clean table Seats are a bit dated but very comfortable and the table was big enough for two not a cheeky small table. Service was good, food was outstanding definitely worth a look again. Sadly we had a mix up on the food half off my meal was on the wife'splate and half of hers was on mine quickly resolved but did take the shine of a cracking meal and some what altered the experience. Overall a nice meal and tidy service.

A beautiful cosy restaurant with delicious food. The garlic bread was a full 9 inch pizza 🍕 😋 completely surprised us however it was so good, nice thin base, perfect dough crust and boy was it garlic. Also garlic mushrooms for starter. Massive portion sizes so we ended up taken leftovers which were just as good the next day reheated. Definitely worth a visit and one of the only place we could find still open late on a Sunday for dine in. Staff were terrific also.

A last minute invitation to join family for a meal turned into a top trumps evening. The staff were jovial & attentive, interesting decoration which gave a very upleasant ambiance & background hum of happy punters. This was our first visit & certainly won’t be our last, can’t believe we’ve never been before & it’s so close to home. We were most impressed with the menu, presentation & quality of the items we chose.
