So called in here for a warm drink with my rescue dog Lily . I have been coming to fabulous Borth Y Gest for 10 years and this place changed hands a couple of years ago . It used to be waitress service and I much prefer that , but I went to the counter to order , there were 2 staff there , who just totally ignored me and then when the female did decide to take me order she did not even say sorry for just acting as if I wasn’t there . All the tables were full so I asked if I could sit on a bench that is in the corner , which they agreed to . I offered to pay there and then but the female said no we will start a tab . After about 5 mins a table became free so I moved / the 5 stars is for the stunning view . The table was dirty with food bits from the other occupants ( a family of 6) . So there was only me sat there , after a while someone did come out to clean the table next to me , but they left mine dirty . My earl grey tea was absolutely disgusting!!!!!! The worst earl grey I have ever tasted . Everyone else was going to the counter to pay their bill when they had finished / but they came out to me to ask for payment / thanks for making me feel like you thought I was going to leave without paying , really a more honest person you won’t find . Not...
Read moreUpdated review 1 year later June 2024 Bae Borth Deli Bar continues to serve truly delicious food and coffee in a relaxed environment with great service. We had prawn salsa, rarebit and tofu banh mi this time. And took cinnamon buns home for tea again. We will be back!
Review from June 2023 We visited the welcoming Bae Borth Deli Bar after a morning walk to the pretty Borth y Gest beach. The cafe serves delicious food and the service was excellent. We sat at a table on the terrace overlooking the harbour. Our dog was able to sit under the table. I had a prawn salad on focaccia and my husband had rarebit with homemade kimchi. Both were extremely tasty. We also bought the most incredible cinnamon buns to take away for later and a potato salad. I could have eaten everything on the menu! We asked Joanne how she made her kimchi and picked up some useful tips from her. Joanne and Charlie were really friendly and helpful and the cafe has a great location. We got there just before midday and the tables with a sea view were very sought after. The cafe has a nicely decorated interior and everything about the cafe and its menu demonstrates that a huge amount of love, care and attention has been put into this little business. Highly...
Read moreWe popped in here with our two dogs on a Saturday. A sign says dogs welcome and the staff confirmed as we went in and we sat at a table out of the way. We had the most gorgeous cinnamon buns we have ever tasted - warmed. Two coffees which were also lovely. We were made to feel welcome and so were our dogs with offers of water and home made dog biscuits. The venue was busy and the staff were attentive to all. It had a lovely welcome feeling to the place and we left feeling that we had found a hidden gem. We will...
