May Bank Holiday weekend and the place was extremely busy so have taken this into a account in my rating. Sat outside under the cover you have a fabulous view of Borth y Gest beach and beyond - unless a van or large 4x4 parks on the roadside, and then you see nothing. Staff very pleasant but waited a good half hour or more before our order taken. Then it was a further long wait for our coffees, which were far from hot, lukewarm actually, when the arrived. Cafe : Sea View Cafe Bistro & Coffee Lounge
After a nice little stroll through what seemed like a quaint fairytale land, we headed to the picturesque seaside village of Borth-y-Gest to fill our tummies.
The Admiral (GBP 10.95)
A nice hearty breakfast consisting of 2 strips of bacon, a juicy sausage, traditional black pudding, a fried egg, crispy golden brown hash brown, baked beans, mushrooms, grilled tomato and nicely toasted bread.
Recommended? Well, itâs your traditional English Breakkie! Sure why not?
Eggs Royale (GBP 10.50)
A poached egg sitting on a toast and salmon with a dallop of sauce served with a slice of lemon to give the dish a nice zesty finish.
Recommended? Sure why not
All in all it was a homely little cafe decorated with marine fixtures serving mouth watering Breakkies. After which, you might want to even take a little stroll along the water front to slowly let your tummies digest!
