The place itself is really nicely done it looks luke a tea room, table was set lovely but unfortunately the 'luxury afternoon tea' is very much a basic one, nothing luxurious about the food. Sandwiches cut into slices made on standard white and brown supermarket bought bread (packaging on show in kitchen), wafter thin tasteless ham, pre sliced cheese, egg mayo sandwich filling from a tub and plain tuna. Strangely we only got 3 of each flavour sandwiches even though it was for 4 people. Shop bought cakes and again we randonly got 1 small slice of each cake so had to cut the slice into 4 so we could all get to try them. I have never had this before when you pay for 4 people you would normally get 4 of everything. We did get a scone each but they were freezing and upon cutting them they crumbled so these have either been frozen or chilled, definitely not freshly made. We got a piece of a shop bought sausage roll (the type you get in a 5pack in any supermarket) each also oh and a bowl of crisp to share. 1 pot of tea (no teaspoons), 1 mug of coffee and a sprinkle of bagged salad for garnish. £70!!! On the images advertising the 'Luxury Afternoon Tea' it shows a plate of cupcake type items too but we never received these, we did query if it was all there and were advised that was it. Such a shame as I'd expect a tea room to be using locally sourced produce to make their afternoon teas and at least be baking their own cakes especially at the cost of £70. North wales has some amazing farmers producing freshly grown salad items, bakerys supplying great breads and the local butchers have selections of hand carved cooked meats. Overall I found this afternoon tea to be basic, tasteless and expensive I would not...
Read moreI am a local lad that lives in North Wales. Me and my son went to this morning the Caffey. Because we were recommended by an elderly couple when we arrived, the staff was all over the shop. She was being very prejudice from The start because we parked our van outside I asked her for a breakfast because I looked at everybody else’s breakfast and it looked okay So we decided to sit and have our breakfast. I told my son to order first he ordered an omelette. She didn’t have the right ingredients to put in a Spanish omelette but we sorted that one out. I asked for breakfast so I decided to pick my own. The bacon was raw. The egg white part of the egg was raw. The mushrooms were cold so I asked nicely for the lady to rectify this. She rectified the bacon by putting it into the deep fryer. I never says anything until I had the rest of the food and it was disgusting manager she said she was the owner. Her attitude was unbelievable. I asked her quietly so I did not make a big scene. Could she either make me a fresh breakfast or I want it or could you do me an omelette? She wouldn’t refund me my money and she didn’t want to do anything else it cost me £23 for a breakfast and an omelette and two cans of drink. We didn’t eat our food she wouldn’t refund the money. She gave us £10 back and told us that’s all it’s worth. I would advise nobody to use Caffey. My opinion about the lady who runs it she says she’s the owner. It’s all about the money with her...

I asked for a boiled egg on a full breakfast and was told they didn't do that. Clearly to much effort. Only one other table of two in the café. There was more staff than customers. After ordering we were asked to pay at the till before the order will be placed. Had 3 children with me, 2 who follow me everywhere. So after being past the menu at the door, told to sit anywhere, settling the kids down had to then get back up to pay instead of relaxing and paying at the end. ( Plus people are probably more likely to tip at the end of a meal) Food was nice but could of been warmer. Meal price was ok but in my opinion should include drinks for breakfast.. drinks are overpriced which make it expensive £43 for breakfast 1 adult 3 children...
