Extremely disappointed order sharer starter came out with our mains rather confusing as it was a starter . I requested the mains be took back so we could enjoy the starter as this is eaten before main meal. I was Informed this couldn't happen so requested the starter be refund as I didn't want it as part of the main meal. Manager lisa came out in storm and informed me there nothing wrong with the food so I had to have it all there and then. Surely a starter comes out before a main??? Then had to sit got 5 mins waiting for a knife and folk to eat my main course. Partner meal came out wrong again 5 min wait to bring back with salad instead of peas. I will say the food was nice I enjoyed what I ate But I feel Lisa has fully let her team down. The young girl serving was brillant. She even said sorry for her manager reaction and said she would want the starter the usual way a meal is served. What shame spent £60 if we didn't have this issue we would have stayed for deserts and more drinks. Moved here locally but sadly won't come back which is ashame. I think customer service course may help. I wanted my main meal to come after starter its not difficult. Ended up with starter in a take away tub Then to mess up my partner main meal with no apology was the icing on the cake. How sad was really looking forward to coming after seeing other views. As a place to stay,an apartment we had above the pub, amazing,5 stars,very large well presented place with 5/6 bedrooms all with ensuite facilities, there's a hot tub on the balcony that the grandkids loved.The couple that own it are very nice folk,Jaz and I do apologize to her husband as I can't remember whether it was Peter or not, sorry, but great people. The pub had karaoke on some nights which I like, good variety of drinks but a little on the expensive side though your not on holiday every week are you.Only had one meal there, Sunday dinner. I'm a person that religiously wants a Sunday dinner and this although the rest of the family said it was nice (I can only say they're not as traditional as me and my wife) was my disappointment ,the plate was overloaded with a soggy cooked warm red cabbage and a watery sort of cheesy leek looking substance, these two items where kind of on top of the rest of your meal, which if you weren't used to these quite undesirable looking things or didn't like them, which you didn't know were going to be part of your Sunday dinner,then you weren't going to enjoy it which me and the wife didn't.A traditional Sunday dinner is what's needed here, or at least a printed out itemized meal so folk can see what they are likely to get on their plates allowing them to decide whether to have it or not or state an item they don't want putting on...

We ordered. We waited. And waited. 2 out of our 4 dinners arrived. We waited some more. We watched others have their orders placed in front of them. We asked where the rest of our meals were. They'll check? We asked again where our orders were, they'll check? In the mean time our two meals which were delivered were eaten and finished. The two that were missing finally arrived, not looking or tasting very good. It was as if they'd been cooked in a microwave then finished off in a pan to add a bit of colour. Extremely tough, very difficult to cut with a knife and fork!. Really busy, not enough staff and the poor girl behind the bar got blamed for everything. The lady who we asked where our order was the second time, was serving the meals to the patrons, she had a tea towel on her shoulder, she used this to hold onto the plates that meals were on and she also used it to mop her brow with. I saw her actually do this. Not impressed at all. Maybe they were having a bad day?...
