Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Wales

Horrendous customer service, requested a little extra cold milk in my hot drink to bring it down to drinking temperature, and was told no. I’d have to buy a whole cup of milk to add onto the already purchased drink in order to make it 140•c to not burn my mouth. Paid the £1.50 for extra milk and asked can he just top up the purchased hot drink and was told no. Stated that I would have to have it in another cup to pour myself and then dispose of myself. Where is the extra mile, to make customer experience a happy one ? Clearly unprofessional, this has never been the stance of the brand before. Staff have always been kind and helpful, I didn’t begrudge paying the extra but the sheer incompetence and disregard to help has left a sour taste.
