Crisp n fry — Restaurant in Wales

Well sorry about this but I was totally disappointed in this place . We stood in queue of zero just us and told they would be with us soon , it was then I realised that two more people had obviously ordered and decided to sit while they waited ! They were making up orders it looked like but for who ? I am guessing they were deliveries or pick ups perhaps ?There was no one there though so should have serviced the people waiting surely ! Eventually one got his and left , then what must have been a local gentleman he came in and they couldn't do enough for him we watched as they said his order and would he like this that and the other as well ! Ours arrived with a woman waving the bag to display it was ready to go . Never asked if we wanted salt or vinegar just filled the bag and waved at us like calling for a cab .We go to the car and opened the bags to make a start as we were starving it was then we realised it was just thrown in no salt or vinegar. The chips were below average but with no salt they obviously lacked . The rissole was possibly a 5 out of 10 and a deeply worrying colour . Considering the service was poor and the chips were at best below par I won’t be going there again . It’s sad as they have a good rep on this review site but that won’t last if they have varying standards, as I’m not a local maybe they rely on keeping them happy not strange faces walking in . I’ve been to a lot of chippies and this was poor . Sorry but it’s just how it is I’m sure you could do better and I’m sure you will be disappointed...

I hate to write bad reviews but this was possibly the worst meal I have ever eaten! We went to Crisp and Fry after having had a look online and seeing pictures of what looked like very tasty chicken burgers, and reading pretty decent reviews. However, we were catfished by these pictures as they were nothing like they looked! We ordered a chicken burger, half a roast chicken, a small portion of chips and a side of some chicken strips and mushy peas. We waited for about 20 minutes, as the serving system was nothing less than disordered and chaotic, for a meal that I would not wish upon my worst enemy. The chicken burger was just a small, frozen, flavourless burger slapped in a buttered bread roll and smothered in mayo. There was no trace of lettuce, or any salad for that matter. The half a roast chicken had been deep fried and was so dry that we almost choked when biting into it. The chips tasted like they were the lunch leftovers that had been fried for a third time and the chicken strips were severely over cooked! Finally the mushy peas… they were more mush than pea. They left a bitter aftertaste that was on par with soured milk. The staff were friendly but the food was abysmal. Worst of all, there were banners to promote that Crisp and Fry were under new management. If that is a reason to have a big banner in the high street, I dread to think what they served up before! disclaimer- I have only given one star as Google will not...

Me and my family ordered food for delivery, the chicken and mushroom pie was flattened and super dry, the quaterpounder burger was overcooked and tasted very burnt, but on the recipe it said it was a chicken burger. The regular small chips were so small, didn't have any salt or vinegar, and they weren't even edible crispy as I nearly broke a tooth at the back. There was also 4 jumbo battered sausages that didn't even come battered, then the bread rolls online said 70p then changed to £1.30 but was charged £1.50 per bread roll, then the kids meals didn't get any drinks with them when they always have done in the past. I phoned up to get it sorted and they weren't willing to replace any thing at all. Also as polite as the driver was, I asked a trick question about if it had been paid online or not as it wasn't me paying and he said he...
