I am a sucker for non-chain cafes and small places and this fits the bill. We went here as we were looking for a cheap meal and this is what the Google algorithm spat out to us.
Upon entering we were greeted with a bustling seating area, which is always a good sign, full of locals and regulars as they were chatting away with the servers. We found our seat and the waitress offered to either take our order now or when we had sat down.
We sat down and we were amazed at the incredible value of the menu. Now cheap ess nowadays usually means low quality but we nonetheless ordered and our expectations were blown away. I ordered the fish special and every element of the meal was sublime. The fish was fresh with a light, crispy batter and fresh chips which were crisp.

From the outside this place didn't look like much, but they allowed dogs and so we chose to eat here. And we are so glad we did.
The prices can't be beaten which you would imagine would affect the quality. But the food was superb.
