We do love our Wetherspoons but this one was disappointingly below our expectations. We went last night and was quickly escorted to a table which was fantastic. The drinks and food came quickly but after our first lot of cocktail pitchers the app showed that they were all out of stock. The food was decent although portions were smaller than other Wetherspoons. They had stopped serving every single cocktail which I have never seen. I asked a member of staff who just nodded and mumbled and then walked off. We returned again today to give it another chance and have a few drinks. The man at the door (we think may be a manager because he wore a smart shirt but no Wetherspoons uniform) just said ‘handgel’. We thought this was a bit blunt. We don’t mind having to do it when entering but the previous night it was not required and was complimentary. If it is required then it needs to be more consistent and a bit more polite. When we sat down and ordered our drinks, the same manager? Came over and just held the tray and mumbled at us. He just said the word ‘id’. Again we don’t mind having to show id but it would be nice to have the member of staff be a bit more polite. Read moreI went in to wetherspoons Rhyl today with my family. The staff were brilliant especially with a nasty female and her husband with their behaviour towards a female teenage with autism. There was a family with a autistic teenage girl. She was doing nothing wrong. Next minute a very rude woman and her husband. Started to scream and swear at her. Saying some nasty words. One word they said towards them was to f###k off and die. All because the family complain about their behaviour towards the teenage girl to the staff members. The staff member a young female was very professional in how she dealt with theses two Ignorant people. I wouldn't mind this Ignorant lady was saying I'm autistic and deaf. Well if this lady was autistic she should have more understanding towards this teenage girl etc. Also if this lady was deaf how can she hear this young lady she can't. Saying this young woman should know how to behave. Well maybe this lady should take this advice as well learn how to behave in public. Not tell someone to f####k off and die. Read moreReally bad experience after a visit to the sussex, we ordered 2 burgers with a side of beans, the food arrived and i started to stir the beans and inside my beans was a “FRI” date label, we immedietly told a waiter and was told we would get a replacement, returned to my table and bit into the burger and it was hard, burnt and cold, we was greeted by i presume a manager who told us the label was in the beans due to the way they are prepared, then i told her about the cold, burnt hard burgers and she seemed pee’d off that we was complaining, we was told they would be replaced, after a short wait the new burgers arrived EXACTLY the same as the first ones it was as if they had heated it up and this time with no beans replacement, the woman then came over put 50p on the table i presumed as a refund for the beans and then walked away, we stood up and left the establishment on an empty stomach, we emailed jd wetherspoon regarding the experience shortly after but have had no...
