So, the beach is lovely. Miles of open sand, not difficulty getting to it from the rather nice promenade.which is there.
There are a few cabins along the beach near the seaquarium that offer various beach goods, food and drink and are very reasonably priced.
There's a impressive looking indoor activity centre, which looks good, a live venue and exhibition centre on the shore and the seaquarium.

Then you turn around...
It's obvious, painfully so that all that money that was spent on the promenade did not filter through into Rhyl town.

It's a real shame that the place is in such a state of disrepair as my Mum always said it used to be lovely, which is why we went for the day. We lasted three hours, half of which was spent in the seaquarium.

Read moreEver thought it not peak season We had plenty to do. The parking was very reasonable and right next to the beach. A well concreted and long prominard which ment good access for wheelchair users to food and toilet facilities. My friend has a 8ft foil kite so when the tide went out it was perfect. There is a Sea life centre and if you love water slides and flumes the SC2 will open very soon. The shopping area is run down but we all found the people very polite and friendly. A visit to Lifeboat shop was a must to buy some goodies. Every penny counts. The man who ran the shop was interesting friendly and told us about a fab new faster boat that the station is getting. So anyone going don't take a inflatable the tides can be very dangerous and you can see the boat at the station. Dogs are aloud in areas and I saw lots of people rollerblading, hoverboarding, cycling with there dogs. I think a long weekend would be nice I sure there is lots more...
