An unassuming storefront in Barry doing busy trade in takeaways also has sit-down space for an absolute FEAST. An Alonnisos platter for 2 would have easily fed 4; pastitsio and a chicken pita meal (with mustard substituting for tzatziki) were also good. Warm hospitality also included complimentary homemade cake. We were stuffed to bursting afterwards: an excellent and unpretentious feed. NB they don’t yet have an alcohol licence, and there don’t seem to be fish dishes (bar calamari), so it doesn’t quite match the ideal of a Greek Taverna—though we were there, it must be admitted, on Palm Sunday …. I've had a good few gyros take aways from this great little place but tonight we decided to sit in and OMG were we happy. The platter we ordered was amazing. It came out nearly the size of the table and presented so stunning then the food itself. What can I say other that fantastic. The best greek food I have ever eaten, that's including some parts of Greece. The restaurant is lovely too with nice wall art and authentic greek music playing quietly in the background. The staff are fantastic (sorry, I don't know your names) but both did and do a superb job with this little jewellery in the heart of Barry. We'll definitely be back....with...

Ordered the “Andros” set meal for 2 along with some sides for collection. Arrived and was told it would be about 5 more minutes, 30 minutes later I finally get the order. Upon arriving home and unpacking it, half the order is missing. I tried to call them about it (rang 8 times) no one answered. I was left with no choice but to go back. The server advised they could cook it but would be about 30 minutes as they’re busy or I could have a refund. Suffice to say I opted for the refund. Such a disappointing experience, as a lover of Greek food I was so looking forward to...
