Hagan's Smashed My Breakfast!
What a meal! What a service! What a delicious place to eat!
I arrived at the cafe. I was starving hungry. I'd only eaten a three course breakfast, a cheese board, and a small amount of budgie pàté that morning, so as you can imagine, I was ravenous. Delirious with hunger. Tweeking like a junkie in rehab. Ranting like a 1980s post match interview. Slurring my word like a wrestler after one too many piledrivers to the head. When I stumbled across Hagan's.
I was immediately greeted by a friendly man who identified himself as an Undertaker (he was toe wrestling a man he called Kane). He was extremely friendly and kept offering me a tombstone (I bought mine by saving my pocket money when I was ten. I didn't know the day I'd die so I just stuck a pin in a calender. I've been dead for 60 years, but I'm looking good!)
I took my chair at a table, which he offered to slam me through, I politely declined. He handed me the menu. I browsed and decided to have a full English Breakfast (can't go wrong). The portion was bigger than Andre the Giant. Heaving mass of protein. Steaming mountains of mushrooms. Tomatoes so red they looked like they'd been put in a head lock by Randy Orton.
I couldn't have cooked better myself and I was once Gorden Ramsay's anger management coach on Hell's...
Read moreJust wanted quick cup of tea & snack as I was feeling shaky- having fibromyalgia, bad asthma & several other health problems ( worsened by covid in 2020) I grab opportunities to go out on the limited times when I feel able. I'm mask exempt with the relevant doctors letter. We'd signed in as required & were approached by a worried girl who said she would call the manager. A nasty, aggressive man came out & said they will not serve unmasked people . I explained legally they are not allowed to discriminate against disabled people- they told me I was not disabled! He & a male customer became very aggressive as we then tried to record ( sound only) on the phone reiterating they were acting illegally. Unfortunately it didn't save. When I took the pen to cross out our details where we signed in- I was physically assaulted by him grabbing my hand very roughly to stop me lining through our number, and shoved out by the shoulder. I still have a red mark on my finger an hour later. I will be reporting the incident to the...
Read moreI like this cafe. This is very useful when you are shopping on the Pensarn Shopping estate. The staff were prompt and attentive and there was a good range of food on the menu. This cafe is located on the ground floor so access for physically challenged is perfect. There are toilet facilities here with easy access. This cafe is located adjoining the fish bar and I have to say the fish was lovely. There is plenty of seating which looks deceiving from the street. To find this cafe it is located just across the street from the Royal Mail sorting office. (You can't miss it). This is a nice cafe with a good lunchtime menu. So, If you need a break from shopping this would be a good...
