I come to this weatherspoon and I liked place, coz looked clean and quite new (not old for sure). And that will be end of positives... So I ordered what I always order in any weatherspoon all over UK (I travel a lot). For £6.67 I should receive 8inch spicy meat feast pizza and pint of beer. Beer was fine, then my pizza arrived and I was shocked.... It was like a joke... I am Aspie (spectrum of Autism) and I am really good at numbers, I can see sizes of everything and compare them easily. So my pizza was... About 5.5inch (plus minus 0.5inch). That was a joke basically. It happened before in different weatherspoon that pizza was a bit to small but never that much! I talk with member of stuff and he promised to give me new pizza and he took my old untouched one. New pizza arrived and I honestly facepalm myself (I seriously did!)... I do understand is cheap, I really do! But is not me who created this price and I expect to receive what I paid for! This pizza was 7inch, so still to small and in fact it was more like pancake, dough was stretched behind the limit! So thin (again I don't expect miracles for cheap price but that was a joke). I just eat that coz was already hungry after 35min from paying for my meal. Also person who bring me my food was young clearly unhappy man, looking really tired (hangover? Maybe). Spicy think in this situation was also that every menu I touched was so dirty that it made me sick, cola, beer and bits of food all over it! Sticky! So Sticky! Honestly... I check 4 menu cards and the rest didn't look any better. Also stuff was so "busy" with talking and laughing behind bar (clearly not about job) and watching rugby on TV that I guess it was a reason why this menu's was basically disgusting dirty. Worst experience ever! Worst weatherspoon ever! I don't expect miracles, that is budged place but if U laughing instead of working and if U cheating customers on the size of food (twice!) then is best to avoid this place! Ps. Also menu cards are standard A4 size, so I was able to compare it to pizza, coz shorter side of menu is just little bit more than 8inch. As U can see on picture is for sure much less than 8inch. To be honest I find that...

After waiting 40 minutes we asked why the food was taking so long, we were told that we had been told when ordering food had an hour delay - we were not informed of this when placing our orders. Had we been we would have probably gone elsewhere. When the first two meals arrived the plates were extremely hot but the food cold. My nan had a steak and kidney pudding with mash and mushy peas, the pie was piping hot but the mash and peas were stone cold. We complained about the food temperature but the staff member didn't seem to care. On the burger my auntie had the chips were cold and the burger barely warm, again they didn't care. Twenty minutes after their food arrived the rest of the table got their order (four of us) we had four burgers. The burgers were just about warm and most of the chips cold. After complaining the chips were cold on three of our four meals they got the kitchen to do a small bowl of chips for us which were warm and done in about five minutes, which was great and the only slightly redeeming thing about the whole visit. My partner's meal was incorrect and missing components from the burger. They called the kitchen to send up the missing pieces from the burger including bacon which was cold, he went back to complain that they hadn't fixed his order and just given him cold bacon to add to his burger. They told him "that's just how it is". After making several complaints about the food and issues with almost every order all we got was a small bowl of chips, no apologies, no ownership of the mistakes, no reduction on the bill. We were so angry to have paid full price for several cold meals, had we not waited an hour to receive the food and were starving we wouldn't have eaten it but I doubt we'll ever be returning after today's service. I appreciate there are bad days and things go wrong, we could have handled the cold food if the customer service had been decent but to have poor food and poor service and in some instances rude staff it's just not acceptable. Very...
Read moreWe sat in the out doors area and ordered food with alcohol, apparently alcoholic drinks aren't allowed outside this pub, it did say so on the doors, but seeing how we already decided to sit outside, we didn't even pay attention to what it said on the door. We ordered food and drinks through the app, and no where on the tables or on the app did it say that alcohol was not permitted outside the restaurant.
A waitress came over to let us know about that, so we asked for some soft drinks instead as we mentioned that we had a dog with us so we couldn't go inside, to which she said okay, and that she will get a manager to help us, a manager came out, and straight away she started being passive aggressive as she said that it said No dogs on the premises. Which we later found that it was a small sign that just said "No dogs allowed" this was our own fault that we didn't check, as we just assumed that dogs would be okay to have outside as they are in the wetherspoons local to us, but any sane person would just assume that that meant No dogs allowed inside.
Then, after the first manager left, the second one came over to tell us that we would have to leave, as we had a dog, we asked for a refund which he then told us we couldn't have, as all the food is ready, so I asked what we were meant to do now, and he said there isn't anything else for us to do. We weren't even offered to have the food to be packed up in take away boxes, I had to ask for it myself, it was almost like he just wanted us to walk away after having already payed over £50 for food and drinks with out anything we ordered and without a refund. Then we finally got the food packed up, we got home to eat it, and the portions were very small, it wasn't worth the money we payed for it. I don't recomend, there were many more better restaurants. Avoid this...
