Indian Cottage — Restaurant in Wales

Very disappointed. Tried out here instead of our usual indian, ordered at 19.10pm, had confirmation and saif around 40 minutes for delivery, that was fine. Then got an email to say delivery time has then changed to 20.20pm. So that would be an hour and 10 minutes after ordering! Then again another one to say its delayed and would be arriving at 20.40pm. Then nothing so phoned restaurant at around 20.45pm, took ages to get through as kept going to answer phone. Finally got through and got told it's with delivery driver. Bare in mine these are herbert street pontardawe and in in Alltwen. 5 minutes later still nothing so phoned again, again kept going to answer phone. Finally got through and lady on phone said give it 5 more minutes she would phone driver. Waiting then until 21.04 before finally getting delivery!! Almost 2 hours after ordering initially. The food was cold! So asked delivery driver to take it back. Not eating cold food even delivery driver said they would eat cold food. Will not be trying here again after this. I understand some people don't have any problems, and wouldnt have minded so much if food arrived hot. But being 2 hours to get delivered and cold upon delivery very...

It was empty for a reason. How I wished we had waited for a table in one of the other 2 restaurants. Service was chaotic. We had the thali. It came out in what was desert bowls. The first thing out was some vegetable mush. We got two bowls of this so started to eat it. When the next dish came out they took one of the first two bowls away as we shouldn’t have had two. But we had eaten from it. The Bombay potato’s were boiled with a tiny bit of “curry gravy” over them. The lentil soup was dreadful and the mushrooms were again in a sort of gravy. It cost £38 I would NEVER eat there again....

Ordered and paid over £40 pound worth of food and did not reach to its standard. My egg rice contained some small fragment of egg shells, Chicken Tikka main was hard and warmed up from a microwave, Lamb tikka balti was VERY hard and chewy, keema nan ONLY had ten percent of meat and some parts were burnt off. Appalling customer service as waitress does not seem to care about her work as she is on her phone all day taking selfie, smoking and chewing a gum and manager does not respond well about this problem as he has some language barrier issue. Gonna go with Tamarind...
