Tamarind — Restaurant in Wales

Disappointing. Booked table ahead of a show at the Arts Centre, arrived 90 mins beforehand. Ordered drinks, poppadoms and mains by 6.15 with no starters, still not served our mains by 7pm. Chased food to be told it would be with us by 7.15, just too late to consume ahead of show. Asked them to convert to a takeaway to eat later. There were other diners waiting also, a table of 8 served ahead of us had waited a while and 3 guys also heading to the show chasing theirs. They had however served 8 takeaway requests during our hour sitting inside. When I questioned why staff prioritised these orders over sitting guests I got no sense in the reply. Perhaps too small a kitchen to cope on the weekend. No offer of money off or a free side as a gesture, seemed unconcerned about our complaint. Given the local competition I'd expected better customer service. Not recommended for a sit down meal at the weekend, especially if your heading...

If I could give zero stars I would. We oreordered off justeat for 1745, it arrived at 1800 stone cold. I stuck my little finger into a leg of tandoori chicken to feel no heat. I rang the restaurant to be answered by a rude fella who disputed everything I said. They eventually agreed to send fresh food out. I had a knock on the door with a driver to pick up the food I had had delivered, there was no replacement food (I thought that's strange). An hour goes by and eventually a knock on the door with what we thought was fresh food. It wasn't!!! It was the same food that had been bunged in the microwave, reheated and sent back out( they didn't even replace the containers). I will be addressing this with health and safety, environmental health and just eat. This place should be shut down. Reheating on the bone chicken is...

I wish it was possible to give more stars to them. We began with popadoms and dips, followed by aloo chat for me and mixed kebab platterIt for my husband. We split a side order of chicken pakkrasas well. It seems that when my husbands dish arrived, it was not the correct one. The staff member who came to our table was amazing. He came to us with the order and menu and checked. Indeed, it was incorrect he asked us to bear with him while he sorted the issue. Within 5 minutes, my husband had the correct dish as well as a new plate of rice. They did not charge us for the incorrect dish and provided us with a new plate of rice as well. When we are in the country, we always visit as we always get good service...
