KFC Bangor - Caernarfon Road — Restaurant in Wales

I've been told it is due to a mistake made in which someone poured frying oil into the septic tank, and that the location would be closed for "probably a few week". This was between three and four weeks ago. I've regularly contacted the staff of the neighbouring KFC restaurant, who have always been happy to keep me informed, as they are well informed of the situation, themselves. There is no current estimated date on which this location will reopen.

For the most part, your standard fare when it comes to fried chicken. Notably, the wings and burgers are very well fried and remain crispy far longer than any other pieces of chicken.

Unfortunately, as everyone knows: the chips are awful. It's as if KFC as a company can't decide if they want them to be crispy fries or soggy chips, so they undercooked them anyway and refuse to put salt on them because there's enough salt in KfC food already. They profess this despite the fact that, let's be honest no one going to KFC cares about their health and the effects of excessive sodium consumption. Whats more, the staff aren't even allowed to salt the 'fries' as company policy.

One day, I'm certain they'll improve the fries, and I'll visit a KFC with my child and grandchild and celebrate, and as I eat the final fry, I will die of a heart attack because for once, they were actually salted. What a load of disappointment.

FOOD:

The food was cold as it was sitting on the counter top for almost an hour and then one of many rude staff decided to put on the warmer till the chickens were cooked.

there was hardly any chicken on the bones, all they gave us was tiny pieces of drumsticks.

Our chips were horrible literally weren’t edible, whatever coating they put on the SOGGY! chips is disgusting.

The sweet corn, beans and chicken popcorn were stone cold. As like i mentioned it was sitting on the counter for a long time before putting in the warmer.

STAFF:

The staff were rude, and like the other reviewer mentioned very snobbish attitude.

They got angry when I asked where my food was as I was waiting for almost an hour for my food.

The blonde woman staff member had a awful attitude, she kept rolling her eyes when I asked her about my food, she threw the bag of food at me and said in a snobbish face “your food would’ve been done quicker if you waited longer and didn’t ask me when it was ready” I said to her I’ve been waiting for almost an hour. All she did was smirk and walked off.

It’s a good thing I didn’t sit in and eat my food as the tables were filthy.

OVERALL:

Honestly this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at kfc. I would NOT RECOMMEND anyone going here. Stick to Llandudno junction at least the food is good there and staff...

Pushy request to fill in a survey around customer service EVERY time you go in. I have never experienced anything like this in any restaurant in the uk but something needs to change. It has made it impossible to eat here in peace so I’m just not going in anymore. Every single time you go in a worker will come over, disrupting your meal and peace with a big plastic paper with a QR code requesting that you complete a survey. At first I didn’t mind as I thought they would just leave it on the table (still annoying but you can ignore it or do it at leisure) but they stand there and watch you do it. It’s not exactly going to be a fair review anyway if the worker is hovering over you. They will watch you constantly waiting for the right time to bother you even if you’re on the phone I’ve had them interrupt my phone conversation to harass me. I’ve also had a worker tell me it won’t take much time when I informed them I wasn’t able to fill the survey in as I was expecting a call. I found this very pushy. I am aware this is an issue that is putting locals off going in and therefore the practice needs to stop. I have reported this to KFC as I am sure this isn’t an acceptable policy or the way surveys are to be completed. I really hope this practice stops soon and I can return. It’s...
