We are regular users of this pub, for meals, or sometimes just a quiet evening enjoying a couple of beers. We have generally found the food good, cheap and cheerful. The staff on the whole are very polite and courteous. We booked a table for 19 people for last Friday for my 60th birthday celebration. I have to say it all went well, meals came fairly quickly and the service from the staff was excellent. As the night wore on, the people with kids left and only a few adults were there to finish off with a couple more beers. There were a couple of tables in the dining area also occupied by people doing the same thing. My point is that the staff didn't attempt to rush everyone out, and we were allowed to sit at the tables while finishing a drink and waiting for taxis. That was nice to be left in peace when other pubs we visit cant wait to see the back of you once the meal is finished. Very pleased..
