We ate here Friday after my partner had worked all week all we wanted was a decent meal out. We reserved a table but upon arrival we were ignored and stood for about 15 minutes, the staff saw us but chose not to seat us or the many people stood behind us. When someone finally came they told us just go find a table... (very bad customer services) whilst eating we witnessed a very old frail man waiting for about the same time whilst a member of staff ignored him taking a call, this man should have been a priority as he was short of breath and coughing and looked about 90. The starter of chicken strips was chewy and inedible, i couldn't even bite through 1 piece. When our mains turnt up, (chicken burger with chips and onion rings for me and hunters chicken for my partner) my burger was of a lower standard than a mcdomnalds chicken burger, greasy and the same chewy chicken. A sorry spoonful of sloppy coleslaw to garnish the plate. My partners hunters chicken was not edible, it was swimming in bbq sauce, see pictures... She ended up leaving her meal having only eaten a few chips and trying the chicken. The staff were rude all apart from 1 server who seemed to be the only one who gave a hoot about the customers turning up, he actually made the effort to seat people and ask how the food was, (Kenzie - thanks fir being the only competent staff member) the other staff were rude and didn't seem to care about the customers, it's customers who keep this place afloat and treating people badly will drive customers away. Overall we will not be eating here again. We spent about £65 here for an abismal experience I would definitely not recommend eating here. Kenzie should be made team leader and should implement his work ethics amongst the other staff member to teach them how to properly address customers needs.

Food was great. Staff need to pay a little more attention to detail. We walked in and waited by the pillar that stated "please wait here to be seated" only for the lady on the till by the dessert to shout over to us "can I help you" whilst she was serving another customer and then we were told to sit where we like anyway. We sat in by the childrens play area the floor was filthy and there was random bits of cutlery everywhere on the floor including an upright fork which I watched members of staff walk past 6 times. It was only picked up when I made a point of pointing it out to someone. When we were served dessert a waiter just randomly ran to our table said 4 spoons and then proceeded to walk very rapidly away from our table not one member of staff even attempted to clear our main course plates from our table despite the fact that there was one member of floor staff wiping tables and another member of floor staff in a red shirt clearing main course plates from the table opposite us, our table was very cramped due to 4 of us sharing a dessert on a table which still had our main course plates on because we couldnt get anyone attention to ask them to clear it. We finished our dessert and left which was when the guy in the red shirt said "thank you and goodnight" to us the only staff interaction we had throughout our experience apart from our arrival and ordering food.

Well had a carvery turkey was lovely, but the beef was as tuff as leather sadly had to complain and was asked if I want a steak knife as the ordinary knife couldn't cut it, so In fairness did change the beef for more turkey, as for the roast potatoes were lovely but for the over seasoning of salt way to much salt, I like salt but not that much, my daughter had a salad but things were missing and they put scraps of pork on it did complain brought another salad and other things were missing, but in fairness gave money back, and gave another salad with chicken this time and was nice, sadly I wouldn't recommend, eating here not as if it was busy it wasn't as we and another family ate there and that's all I like to give good reviews but can't this time unfortunately.

Last 6/7 times we've been here the food has been disgraceful. Carvery tastes burnt and always not maintained correctly, for example, the mash today had stuffing and cauliflower cheese all mixed in with it. When asked for fresh mash i was told "that's just a carvery for you", eventually after intervention from one of the front of house staff, the contaminated mash was binned and replaced with fresh. My partner had a burger and as you can see from the photo, I'd get more cheese and bacon in my burger from a mcdonalds than she got here. Used to come here all the time and always used to enjoy the food. But after our last few experiences, we will not be returning, it's a shame as this always used to be our go to place, now it's our stay away place.

Decent little carvery! We booked ahead since we were going on a Sunday - I’d definitely recommend booking in advance if you’re going on a Sunday. You can order and pay on your phone which makes the experience quicker and easier since it can get very busy. You go straight to the carvery and show your order on your phone, then they’ll serve it up for you. The meat selection was good and plenty of sides to choose from. The quality of the food was good, but personally I think I’ve had some other carveries which have been a little better. Perhaps this was because we went at a busy time. Overall a good experience though, the turkey, cauliflower cheese and the mash were lovely!

A very nice pub that thrives off it's carvery and desert menu. That said, there is a regular menu to be admired by visitors. A large pub with a small play area for children and ample parking space. There is outdoor seating and a large amount of indoor seating. There can be a long wait during certain times of the day so I suggest joking wherever possible however they do allow you to walk in. The staff were friendly and willing to help spite clearly being rushed off their feet. The quality of food was above average and the deserts were exceptional however the price does reflect that! Above all I had a positive experience here and would happily reccomend it to anyone.
