Coffi Co Bayscape — Restaurant in Great Britain

Mixed reviews I have to say I can understand the mixed reviews because when Coffi Co Bayscape get it right they are very good. No one can obviously fault the location, it’s great summer or winter. This isn’t a Michelin star restaurant it’s a coffee that also provides nice food and maybe some reviews should bear this in mind? I personally have never been able to fault the staff, they are always friendly even when they are very busy and yes sometimes orders take a bit longer and there could be the odd mistake, but this applies to many of the restaurants in Cardiff. My experience with the food has been good, I’ve had the fish and chips a few times always tasted fresh, I haven’t experienced the taste of old cooking oil. The WiFi situation is frustrating but you can step outside and order through your phone data? Yes it’s not ideal but it isn’t the end of the world. They are trying to free up tables in the morning, asking some people if they would mind leaving the larger tables for customers who want to eat breakfast, why not tackle the single table huggers who buy one cup of coffee, open their laptops and occupy a table for 6...

Had hair in my food (more than one). Told the staff which initially were very cooperative and made me a new one and also promised a refund. The poor customer service came when after a week I went back to ask why my refund was not received only to be told there was a staff miss-understanding and they supposedly refunded the wrong person (the friend I was with). When I explained that is not my fault I was told they cannot refund me because they already refunded someone else and I should get in touch with my friend to ask her for the money. That was extremely unprofessional and outrageous to me. Because although she is a friend, I absolutely don’t feel comfortable enough having to chase her for my money. That should not be something I waste my time doing because the caffee stuff made a mistake. I remember clearly asking a couple of times how do I know my refund will come through because I had no confirmation.(initial payment was through the app), and was told it’s all sorted. A PERFECTLY GOOD PLACE...GONE BAD I visit this area for business regularly. This cafeteria used to be charming, well serviced and had good food and ambiance. This time around I was very disappointed ... what changed?

1. They used to have good internet, now the WiFi comes and goes
2. They lock the power sockets. Clients can't charge their phones in the premises
3. I lost my password to the app, and the recovery procedure doesn't work, so I'm forced to order from the web page, with all the long procedure to introduce my credit card details each time
4. 30% of the tables have a sign indicating that they can't be used until dinner time... no matter if all the other tables are busy
5. The place is understaffed. Only two people for all of us near lunch time
6. The service charge is mandatory. Granted, the employees do their best but... shouldn't I be able to decide if I want to give a tip or not?
7. Prices have gone up, portions have gone down

As you can imagine, this is no longer my favorite place...
