Starvation Bar — Restaurant in Wales

Ordered coffee, a pint of beer and two double burgers. Coffee arrived with no saucer or spoon or offer of sugar. Didn’t say anything - I don’t take sugar thankfully. Burgers arrived and chef said he’d bring cutlery / sauce etc. Didn’t return. I asked the female behind the bar for some sauce and she seemed a bit perturbed that I was requesting something. I’d not commented on the lack of cutlery / napkins and the coffee presentation - other customers had saucers / spoons etc and no they hadn’t run out, I could see them behind the bar! Just felt like the female bar staff didn’t want to be there and couldn’t be bothered, but when a young male friend turned up she perked up with him. I’m always polite and chatty but felt like we’d have been better returning to the Surfers cafe as much more welcoming. Food ok but shame that the atmosphere and basics like cutlery were forgotten. Shame as it could have been a lovely experience....

First off this place is called "Starvation Bar & Kitchen". For some reason Google aren't willing to accept this as every time I suggest an edit to correct the name I get a message to say my review could not be verified. This message usually appears within a few seconds so they don't seem to making too much effort to verify this!!! They also won't accept the details of the website when I try to add it as apparently Google can't verify the website either. Very strange. However if, unlike Google, you're willing to accept that this place really is called Starvation Bar & Kitchen and seek it out you'll find a reasonably decent bar/restaurant which fits in perfectly with the rest of Rhosneigr's dining scene. Just in case you're wondering about the name it's not a hint at small portion sizes but rather it takes its inspiration from the islets of Ynys Feurig (Starvation Island) which lie just off the coast...

Wanted lunch and drinks and ordered jacket potato and a burger . Tea and water came and waited for food. Then waited some more and when it hadn’t come after 35 minutes we spoke to the waitress. She went away and came back and said another ten to fifteen minutes as there was a backlog.(there were only four couples in the cafe when we ordered) after ten minutes another waitress informed us it would be another twenty minutes.
