The Filling Station Cafe — Restaurant in Wales

Popped into this lovely cafe in Tintern yesterday on my way back to London. I’d heard lots of good reviews so wanted to try it - very glad I did!! Firstly, what a gorgeous Welsh welcome from the manager Evan and his lovely sister Angharad, also Lloyd. Delightful people who know what good service is all about. I had the best cappuccino ever, the Belgian chocolate shavings on top were amazing, much nicer than the chocolate powder you usually get! I also had the most delicious Brie & Bacon panini, good size and quality ingredients. Great selection of yummy looking cakes too.…. good excuse to return on my next trip to Wales! 😋 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 A great cafe in a beautiful location, would highly recommend....

A great café in the middle of town and a great option for lunch, tea, or coffee if you are in Tintern. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They are constantly busy but they have good and friendly service! I think what stood out to me was when I ordered coffee, the young lady asked me how strong I wanted it. Normally you pay extra for that but I guess it’s not unusual for them! She saw how pleasantly surprised I was when she asked me that. I went for the strongest of course! Coffee and people watching, what a great idea! Called in for a coffee after a long day at work. Great service and the latte was great! I did consider a snack, but I declined because I was still full from breakfast. Everything looked great, and next time I'm going to try a cake!
