I stopped off this morning to grab a coffee and a couple of breakfast baguettes. The baguettes were great and excellent value for money. Mine was a vegetarian one with halloumi, beetroot and olives which was huge and full of lovely ingredients. I had a special request for my husband who wanted a bacon butty, which they stated they don’t sell but the lady kindly made a bacon and egg baguette for him which he enjoyed immensely. We stopped in here for a quick bite and a few picky bits for the beach, and I have to say the gluten free "Welsh New Yorker" sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I think I've ever eaten! I was warned about a small risk of cross contamination from the small kitchen, but had absolutely zero issues. Despite being Coeliac I'm personally happy to risk it if I can tell the owners are going to take care, and the gourmet pig definitely fits the bill there! We were really looking forward to lunch here after reading the great reviews, but….. it was weirdly unwelcoming, the food we wanted from the standard menu wasn’t available (including soup of the day! What is it, soup once a month?). The very first impression was of dirty dusty surroundings and tatty paper menus that looked filthy. The man serving behind the counter was unfriendly.
