The Rowan Tree — Restaurant in Wales

We booked a table for 1pm for lunch for eight people. We gave our orders at the bar not long after we arrived, at 1.45 we asked if our meals were ready but after saying they wouldn't be long we waited another 15 mins. The food when it arrived was excellent, hot, fresh and very tasty couldn't fault it at all. Our other complaint is how cold the room was we all felt it. I went to the Rowan tree yesterday 5/10/18 for a pub lunch with my wife her parents and our 18 month old nice. The waitress who served us looked as miserable as syn never cracked a smile once. What happend to service with a smile. My partner has lasagne without any pasta in it, so a bowl of mince with cheese on top. We did ask why, but the owner said she didn't know what could have happened and that she could only apologise. I just had egg and chips. The chips were only just cooked and flaccid. The garlic bread was cold underneath a cheap, greasy cheese topping. There were only three other tables being served, so really no excuse for such poor food. Would go back for a drink on the decking in summer, but will give the food...
