My husband and I were in the seagull on Saturday evening with my daughter who works there..Although every table was taken sadly there still wasn’t many people in due to the pandemic but still quite a good atmosphere considering! Sadly, I was appalled to witness a male customer being extremely arrogant towards Jo the landlady when she asked him to pop his mask on while walking to and from the toilets! His reply on his return from the toilets still mask-less was ‘Why should I? Your not wearing one! To which Jo replied I’m exempt. He then proceeded to be disrespectful about certain people faking being ill just so they don’t have to wear a mask! Absolutely Disgraceful! I am also exempt from wearing a mask due to my hidden disability although I choose to wear one, I was very upset by this rude mans remarks not only to a female but also in regards to invisible illnesses! Going out for a few drinks these days are just not worth it... We need to enjoy our local pubs because if things carry on the way they are, we might not have a local pub to enjoy a drink in! Read moreFirstly you had to order food upstairs which wasn’t helpful when you had 2 people in your party have disabilities. Secondly you wait nearly 1 hour for the food to come out and when you ask how long it would be because the children kept asking the chef or so he claims to be was rude and told me it was made from fresh produce. The beef patties and the chicken burgers was shop bought as you could tell by the taste of them. They clearly wasn’t fresh. I did mark off a point for a minor infraction, which is I could see into the kitchen and one of the men dropped a bag of skewers on the floor.
