Quite a disappointing afternoon lunch. Popped in for some food on our day out and was quite looking forward to a quick bite and a cup of tea. On first appearance, the place looked tidy, but after being seated, we noticed that the table wasn't the cleanest. Almost looks like after years of wiping down, the corners were always missed. Then came the wait for the food. We ordered a breakfast and a hot dog with chips, a tea and a coffee. Waited around 30 minutes for the food even though it wasn't busy. Once food arrived, I was slightly annoyed that even though I specifically asked for no mushrooms or tomatoe, they were still present on my plate. Thankfully, the server understood and fixed this promptly. It looked decent but tasted like nothing special. Further in we noticed that the condiments were far from being in any good order. The mustard that we requested for the hot dog was out of date by 2 months. The ketchup bottle looked as if it was years old and being used as a refillable container. With congealed ketchup around the lower rim of the lid with what looked to be mould growing on it. After this, we were put off our food and paid the £19.65 and left.

Nice little tea Room. Wide choice of options on the menu. Had to wait a while to get served at the table, despite it not seeming that busy, start e maybe could pay a little more attention since they do not allow ordering at the till, only paying. Can't fault coffee or cake we had during visit. Seemed clean and friendly enough otherwise. Would consider stopping off here again in the future, but only if other coffee shops nearby weren't there to give a go. The garden out the back is nice, but could do with a bit of sprucing up to make the most of the space. I'm sure a bit of a paint and a tidy up would do the job.

Brilliant vegan/veggie menu. I had the vegan breakfast which was delicious. And a vegan chocolate and caramel cake for dessert! 😋 Lovely! Very friendly staff, and a good location near kidwelly castle.

The last of its kind of cafe, long gone are the days of character and history in cafes. Clearly the owner has been here 20 years and is ever proud, they must be doing something right?

The place of full of legacy and family - the walls adorned, the machines aged and elegant - There’s atmosphere and music all enriched by the smells of ingredients, coffee and sheer will and love of labour.

Long gone are these cafes, we now get to look forward to the empty shells with plastered walls, absense of character and charm… we are all living in waiting rooms so time for tea is a breathe of air to the past. The food is absolutley excellent.. you can taste the quality of ingredients in the food, this isn’t a skimp - A cafe that wants to fill you with goodness and let you carry that with you on your day. I’d prefer to pay that little extra because going out is a treat and yous Gould spoil yourself.

I noticed the staff are youngsters trying thier best to learn and grow and what an opportunity, the community is lucky to have someone who wants to employ and train youngsters. They are not perfect, but should they be. Young minds with thier imperfections learning to grow and think - it’s a blessing to see and they work hard.. it’s so much more enjoyable because it’s natural and true. I think we strive for perfections… but it isn’t quite real.. give me the beauty around the imperfections because that in itself is perfectly missing.

What a blessing - I was fortunate enough to meet the security dog who is such a little bundle of a sweetheart - like his owner comes to work everyday to make your day just a little better. Sweet bunch, perfect honesty in harmony!

The mushrooms, the cawl - the steaks - the secret made sauce - You should try the...

Went in yesterday with my family (12 other people) and had the worst experience we’ve ever had in a food place. The owner was extremely rude especially to one particular waiter ( Tyler) He is the only one who made our visit worth it. He was very polite, caring and very respectful even when trying to juggle all tables with the owner constantly in his ear telling him what he’s doing wrong. He was trying to write down the order of one of our tables which had 6 people on and was writing on such a small pad of paper so as he went to turn the page to continue writing she said with terrible attitude ‘ No, 1 piece of paper per table’ it was disgusting watching her treat him with such disrespectful attitude. My niece also ordered the child burger which had mould on the tomato which they tried saying it was pepper even though my sister and nephew didn’t have any on their tomatoes? Even if it was pepper this should’ve been known on the menu when ordering because she could’ve been allergic!! The owner was also rude to my sister, will never be returning and will be telling family and friends to stay away whenever they’re around. Tyler deserves so much more respect than he gets because he’s the only one keeping that...
