“Fabulous Friday – Fabulous Meal – THANK YOU!” - 04-Oct 2019 When we saw that Fabulous Friday was back on 2 courses for £22 – we thought why not celebrate our son’s birthday there. Max loved it last time especially the pulled pork runny scotch eggs. So we booked a table for 4 for his thirteenth birthday. You can never be disappointed by this place superb setting, brilliant service and magnificent food, what is not to like. The menu changes weekly for this special – no scotch eggs disaster for Max and nothing on the menu to titillate him. Never fear this is a place with proper chefs. For Starters birthday boy had - Mozzarella sticks with dip off the kids menu, I had the local rope grown mussels in a delicate sauce which was delicious, my wife had pasta with creamy mushroom and truffle sauce, my daughter had pulled beef with Yorkshire pudding. Max decided that there was nothing on the menu that he fancied but as we knew that everything is home cooked here we asked if the chef could make battered king prawns (after all garlic kings prawns were on the menu!), triple fried chips and beans – this was dutifully delivered and beautifully served (see picture) which he loved thank you Nigel & team; my daughter had Boeuf Bourguignon, mash and Yorkshire pudding and my wife and I had slow cooked belly pork with cracking served with apple sauce, pork scratchings, red cabbage and a vegetable slice with a portion of cauliflower cheese to share absolutely divine. As it was a celebration we had to have desserts crème brûlée, a trio of ice-cream and my daughter and I shared an Imploding chocolate bombe surprise which was a homemade chocolate sphere filled with chocolate mousse, ice-cream covered in gold leaf and then covered with a hot chocolate sauce WOW! We love this place and are grateful that it is in our village – fabulous views over Cardigan Bay, parking, faultless service and food to die for. Booking is recommended. We will “deffo” be back thanks again #TeamTremfan from...
Read moreWe had another most wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth that made us feel instantly at home. The house itself is beautifully kept, full of character, and perfectly clean, with thoughtful little touches everywhere that made our stay extra special.||Our room was spacious and so comfortable – it felt like a little retreat just for us. In the morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice, freshly prepared and absolutely delicious – the perfect start to the day. Fiona looked after us so well.||What really stood out for us, though, was the care and attention from the hosts. Sandra and Nigel clearly love what they do, and it shows in every detail, from the welcoming atmosphere to the helpful recommendations about the local area.||We stayed as a couple, and it truly felt like the perfect getaway – peaceful, relaxing, and memorable. We left feeling recharged, and we’re already talking about when we can return. Highly...
Read moreI travelled up from London to meet my family on our annual welsh holiday for dinner. I was running a tad late and entered the restaurant area to be confronted by a rather rude lady (who later finding out was the owner, sue). She stood over me awaiting my order with an extremely distasteful look on her face and repeatedly ask me for my order. Once my order was taken she bluntly removed the menu from my hands and manovered agressivly towards the bar area.
Throughout the whole of the evening she continued to portray her aggressive and rude dimeaner amongst ours and the other guests, resulting in a extremely uncomfortable environment and disgraceful customer service.
I have worked in customer service for many years, both corporate and family run businesses and I would be ashamed and appalled if I worked with such an employee.
I would not recommend this place to anyone purely on the rudeness of the owner, which is such a shame as it’s location and food dishes where quite...
