Village Bistro — Restaurant in Wales

Very packed tables are too close as though they seem a bit desperate no space for a conversation. Very dim lighted. Bit depressing for a meal out when having to spend so much money on basics. Food is very bland not many spices I had to ask for more (that i was charged for). Wouldn't recommend. If you have money to waste its a nice fast food place otherwise don't expect anything special. Not child friendly. Also says they close by 9 sometimes 10 although my friend went at 19:45 and it was closed with a singular man smoking outside. Dissappointed unfortunately.

Since the owner has replied accusing me of lying I was just giving a review of my experience and this goes to show how customers will be treated at this establishment. I think the owners words speak for themselves.

Again this owner is making me feel extremely uncomfortable making terrible accusations about me because he can not own up to the truth. I have no need to send anybody there at all and it is true my friend was there at 19.45 and it was closed with staff smoking outside on tables. The reason I have said it is not child friendly as it is very dim cluttered and tables are extremely close together very crammed. As for take away and delivery food is always spilled and bag ripped. I hope this owner now stops throwing accusations around only because I put a review and just takes it and makes changes . I hope nobody else will have to deal with this. I was in a party of 15 people for a baby shower we all preordered weeks before. We had booked the table for 3pm and asked for food to come out for 4. As we arrived the table was not ready nor decorations so we waited 20 mins for our table. We then waited an extra 30 mins for them to take our drink order. I asked at 4.10 if he food was coming out as one of the guests had work at 5. It was 4.15 when starters came which wasn't a problem but then we waited another hour for the mains to come out COLD. I asked if I could speak with the manager as we wasn't happy with the service to be told he was out at the moment. Let’s cut to the chase we had food poisoning from here. Ate at around 7pm on Sunday with my son and by 9:30pm my son was being sick and sat on the toilet for hours throughout the night. I felt ok until the Monday morning where I spent far too much time in the bathroom. Although I ate all the food on my plate I wasn’t overly impressed with it and did the whole polite we’re fine thanks business when asked.
