Great place, staff and owner/s are fantastic. Food is very good, large portions and pub prices. Would/will call again. Had sanitiser at bar/toilets and at the main entrance. Social distances are well maintained so be sure you can eat in safety. Good selection of local beers and also a very good top shelf of shorts. Ok it's kind of a back street pub, but I always find places like this are often overlooked and should be explored like the surrounding countryside!. Such a lovely experience here - really friendly and welcoming, and great food with huge portions! The chicken, bacon and leek pie came with a massive amount of peas and chips, gorgeous buttery pastry and generous amounts of meat in the filling, just what I needed...

Really appreciated some suggestions on where to walk and explore nearby as well, staff were very kind and thoughtful to talk to us about where we could get to without a car.

Excellent local pub that we returned to this week having not been in the area for a while.

The food really is excellent…someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing. I had the “chicken Vic” whilst my wife had the tuna. Both were restaurant quality. At the same time the kids devoured their burgers and delightful puddings. All served alongside A rotating selection of 3x draft beers plus the usual lagers on tap.

There is a room at the back with 2x pool tables and darts to everyone was entertained.
